Who doesn't love Pat Foley ...? welcome Hah thanks. I'm sure there are those who don't out there. And again, for those of you who didn't catch it, I was just joking around with the list. Will probably be a reader only here, just happy to have something available for people to share their thoughts on the WI boys volleyball scene.

Anyone have sleeper picks this year for who could go to state? I figured I might as well share mine. Whitefish bay- strong senior leadership along with a new coach and their best player is switching from middle to outside if they can pass they can play. Unfortunately they play MUHS in their sectional so they would have to piece together a masterpiece to make state Wauwatosa East- I know I know they lost Ben Plaisted but they still have one of the setters from MVC 17 1s and the younger plaisted was all tournament team at JO's with club players filling the rest of the positions they could be irritating to Brookfield East but I don't see them pulling off the upset Waukesha West- I'm not sure who is in their sectional but they are a big team with one all-state calibre player in Aaron Turner

Zero chance WFB makes it to state.
Tosa East ... like that sleeper a lot!

I can't really disagree with this poll. Specifically the top 3-4 are pretty solid locks. B-East & MUHS are ahead of everyone 3-10 though.
Is Muskego actually a top 10 team though? We'll see how they do this weekend I guess.

Looks like all teams in the top 10 coaches pool play this weekend in Racine. It will be interesting to see how close these rankings are with the results of the tournament.
Good luck to all teams! It should be a great season.

I agree that Brookfield east should be the heavy favorite. Especially since they didn't lose any seniors since last year and only lost 19-17 to the overall state champions. Who do you guys think will be some of the top players at each position? (S, L, MB, OH, OPP). Are you high?

Care to explain how I am "high" after predicting the team that is currently in first place (15/15 on votes) in the coaches poll?

Did they get a transfer student?

I am also curious. Nicolet has been terrible the last 5 years.

appleton north had a good showing last night for the front row. they had 2 setters play and both were solid. the senior one is obviously better. not impressed at all with their passing. kaukauna will more than likely come #1 from the FVA.

I am also curious. Nicolet has been terrible the last 5 years. Mmm, not so much. 2013 - Yes Bad 2012 - Yes Bad 2011 - Lost in Sectional Final in 5 to Germantown. Split Conference title with them as well 2010 - Won Conference, lost in first round of state to Westosha in 5 2009 - Lost in State final to Jeremy Dejno in 5 16-14 in the 5th. Yeah terrible the last 5 years.
