My prediction for next season's COY Award goes to the Germantown head coach.

It's crazy that state poy and gmc poy came from same team but are not the same player and gmc poy was second team. Goes to show people definitely use different criteria for award

FVA was both Belling and Mahoney. interesting that I heard the gmc had a split poy as well but they revoted for poy until one winner was determined. I'm not sure which one I like, a co-poy or one poy. I guess you can go either way.

Remember though that State POY and Conference POY have different factors coming into play. Conference looks at just the conference matches, while state looks at all of your matches. Statistics and games played due become a factor.
FVA was the same way CO-POY. Carter made 1st team and Liam made 2nd. Both are great honors, and being named to any team is an honor as well.
I think the FVA has an even number of teams so a tie could exist. The GMC has 6 teams but since you probably can not vote for your own player that left 5 voting members meaning the tie would have been split.

I actually think the committee made the right decision not making Klassen POY. It wasn't fair to those who played all year.

or does gmc just go based on total votes, highest vote getter gets poy and 2-7 fill out the rest of 1st team, 8-13 fill out 2nd team, the rest who get votes get honorable mention?
doesn't make much difference either way, I am just intrigued by the process. sounds like some conferences may do it differently than others, so we may not know the real answer.

I amend my COY prediction for next season and would like to change it to Aaron Lang from Shorewood. I see some big improvements by that team.

Regardless of what happened, the name calling, judging and disrespect.i want to point out how funny it is seeing people say that this was a great year of Wisconsin volleyball. I watched all of the state tournament and some regular season games and I can't hold my tongue any more. This was by far the worst season of Wisconsin volleyball I have seen in awhile. I am embarrassed to say I once played volleyball in Wisconsin. When people comment saying that there are multiple players that can go play d1 or d2 is ridiculous. If a player want to go to Quincy or mckendree and get their ass kicked every game then so be it. But let's call a spade a spade. let's not kid ourselves and hold our state to a better standard. No team deserved the state title and a Libero as the poy is absurd. But nonetheless this was the best jv state tournament that I've ever seen.
