Cheney McClellan is a MB sophomore out of TN who IS being recruited by Nebraska. It's amazing to me that out of all the volleyball questions that were asked of her on ask, this one is the one that is posted. She apparently felt that if she was going to be asked a stupid question then she would give a stupid answer. Remember these are 15 yr old girls not 40 something grown men that we're talking about. Some things just require a little bit of common sense.

Fitz was extremely dominate today vs. Mother McAuley and Dike New Hartford. Her serve receive was very poor today. DNH targeted her quite a bit and did generate points. Fitz was very strong on both pins as well. Fitzmorris will not pass in college. She will play at where she is best at: Middle. Or, I could even see her play at the RS ala Blair Brown.

People were saying the Fitz was waiting on Admissions from Stanford, well that only takes like a few weeks for scholarship athletes. so........
Chesney McClellan she is a MB or a RS? I see she is heavily recruited. Wisconsin is really recruiting and going after the kids now. #DAMN

Not true about scholarship athletes finding out about admission to Stanford..... You don't find out if you are admitted until they have your final transcripts. They do not give priority to athletes like many universities do.

They do not give priority to athletes like many universities do. I thought they went through and gave a sort of pre-decision in the spring of a recruit's junior year of HS. I seem to remember something from Hodson in that vein. Of course they have to go through the regular application/admission process, but Fitzmorris could simply be waiting for this spring. Otherwise, recruits interested in Stanford wouldn't know whether to continue pursuing the Cardinal or take their business elsewhere 'til spring of their SENIOR year, which is quite late.

Hodson was locked-in around mid-April of this year IIRC. So earliest we hear of Fitz to Stanford would be April 2015 if we're following that pattern.

Chesney plays MB in HS and club but is being recruited across all front row positions depending on the school recruiting her. It'll depend on how her passing/defense develops.

I watched the Metro Sports game and I thought Fitzmorris' passing was great in that game.

They do not give priority to athletes like many universities do. Stanford does have a special admissions track for recruited student athletes. Decisions don't come as early as they do for typical schools but this doesn't mean they don't have special admissions status. They do. Ask any Stanford coach how it works.
