Set 3 begins. (From coaches' interviews, sounds like Dunning wanted to be sure they keep feeding the middles. Cal coach wants more kills and, especially, to get Ms. Schonewise (2/1/12/.083) going.)
2-2 early

After being tied at 6, Stanford has two 3 point runs (helped by a couple service errors). 12-7 Stanford. TO Cal

Announcers just said Stanford only plays UW once this year AT Stanford.
Actually, the match will be in Seattle.

Cal passing has fallen apart- is that 3 or 4 straight serve return errors? 15-8 Stanford

Cal had their shot in the 2nd. Needed to win that set. Now it's turning into a convincing sweep.

By the way, Oregon completes the sweep of Seattle -13 -13 -21. (Props to Seattle for having played Texas, Washington and now Oregon this preseason.)
19-10 Stanford

This is the first time I'm seeing Cal this year. They really do look bad. They have 7 DS/Ls on their roster but can't find passing and I thought Smith was supposed to be more of an immediate impact player in terms of hitting. ... Stanford's not even a particularly tough serving team.

It does look like Stanford has new folks in (at least Humphreys in at setter).

Unfortunate to see a Cal/Stanford non-competitive, unexciting match.

Stanford wins set 3 25-16 and the match 3-0. Congrats to them.
Now USC and UCLA in ~25 minutes. (Newsflash- evidently USC has someone named Bricio who has a pretty good serve.)

Get used to this special about the PAC-12 all star team in China because it'll be on before and after every volleyball game this year on the PAC-12 network.

Get used to this special about the PAC-12 all star team in China because it'll be on before and after every volleyball game this year on the PAC-12 network. I'm already used to it. I turn down the sound and lip-synch the words now.
