Ford had 37 kills in a 20-18 5th set loss to Redondo (Iosia, Bedart Ghani - 22 kills) in the CIF SoCal finals last night. Wowza. Great night from Mick's next DS/serving specialist. Have you seen her in the back row? That's not in her future. Everyone's saying she's Bria Russ. No. Angie Pressy!

They have one coming next year. Alyse Ford who I think stands around 5'9-5'10. She can jump out of the gym and can hit crazy angles but her passing is suspect. Agree though, SC needs another Sara Shaw and I don't think they are getting it from Ford or from that 2015 class. Maybe try with 2016. Ford is literally not a hair over 5'8".

She reminds me a lot of Hawaii player Kanani Danielson, but without the awesome backrow play and passing.

She really doesn't help them where they need it the most, passing. I think Strickland could ace Ford 4-5 times a set.

So now that its off-season, Can someone start some outrageous rumor like Carlini is transferring to USC next year to be with her friend Ebony Nwanebu?
All joking aside - what can USC do to fix their setting... The major weakness I see for next season.

I don't think they really need to worry too much. I think all teams got lucky USC was not themselves this season it was a growth period without Hagglund but others emerged in the backrow. I think with a healthy Nwanebu out there they can very well compete for an NC. The setting doesn't need to be fantastic for SC just adequate.

Heard grumblings that 1 or 2 may be looking to leave. So much talent on the pins and only so many on the court.

She was ranked somewhere in the twenties for Senior Aces IIRC.
