The Huskers always give PSU a battle on their home court. This will be no different. If the serving problems persist for the Lions they will be in trouble.

Nebraska could really show the country that they are a force to be reckoned with. The Huskers always like to play up for Penn State. I expect this to be a good match. Penn State is still a heavy favorite but hopefully the Huskers can make it interesting.

Give the Husker crowd at least one game. Penn State as good as they are, most times when I watch them they have hardly any fans- weird. Unlike the California schools that also don't draw many fans, (there is a lot of things to do in California that steal attention away from Collegiate VB)there is not much to do in Happy Valley, so why don't they draw better? Especially with their history and reputation.

I have looked at attendance the past few years and the heavily attended matches are when the FB team is home. That is true of other B1G teams also; however, the WVB team seems to be on the road when the FB team is at home and vice versus. The tournaments don't have teams that draw well especially for early morning Friday and Saturday matches. The low number of spectators at those matches dilutes the season average. Conversely, having PSU on your home court really is one of the opponents highest attended matches.

Shown on the BTN........... Discuss.................... Nebraska has a problem and I'm not sure if there is a solution. If you believe PSU = Stanford or PSU >= Stanford (like many on this board do), and you realize that Stanford took BIG RED to the woodshed in Lincoln, then the prognosis doesn't look good for RED. Now, some will say that Neb has improved since their brunch was handed to them a few weeks ago by the Card, but that will have to be a whole lot of improvement in a very short amount of time. I'm not buying it. I'll predict a 3-0 sweep by the Nittany Lions and a moral victory if RED can win one set.

If the teams traded setters it is a very competetive match.

If we had some ham, we could have some ham and eggs, if we had some eggs.

Actually I prefer going to VB matches on weekends when the FB team is away, but my only choices left this year are a single match vs. Illinois (could be interesting), or two matches vs. Rutgers and Maryland (could be boring). All of the Wednesday night matches (6 this year?) are bumming me out.

If the teams traded setters it is a very competetive match. I think PSU would still wipe the floor with Nebraska. PSU has way more talent at the hitting positions.

When B1G competition is in State College you will see a swell in attendance but actually the numbers were pretty good for the early season competitions even though they didn't offer up much comptitive
