lionsfan appears to have 6 PAC 12 teams seeded; that would be too many; they will beat up on each other. For example, SC beating Oregon State, at home, doesn't necessarily right that ship. Hopefullly Cal can beat them tomorrow night, but regardless, SC has quite a few losses ahead, and I doubt a seed.

Having watched them several times, they just aren't very good. However, since the Committee usually disgusts me every year, I guess USC is a lock for a seed...

It is hard not to like Coach Poole and what he has brought to FSU ! I love that team, despite the havoc they have wreaked on my Gators recently. In that group, however, they are still the odd team out.

Usc should not, under any circumstance, be granted a seed. That would be utter disrespect to the teams that deserve it

They seeded Illinois with 14 losses last year (some of them worse than any USC's had this year) and they didn't even have the injuries to key rotation players that USC has had.

And I don't think illinois should have been seeded anyway. A team with that much loses, regardless who they played, should not be seeded

Utter disrespect? Disgusting if a certain team got a seed? Geez, dramatic much...
Y'all are acting as if getting a Top 16 seed automatically guarantees a team a spot to the Sweet 16 or something, therefore only the "deserving" teams should get one. Sorry, but in case y'all haven't been following the past few years, not all the teams that should get a seed actually get one, and even those who do "deserve" a better seed often get jipped in their brackets come tourney selection time and end up playing teams they would normally meet in the Final 4 or Elite 8. That's just how it is and always has been.
None of that "who deserves to be here" crap matters in the tourney. What does matter is winning, and if you WIN your way there, then you've EARNED it.

I'd say Washington, except they are going to be at home which means Stanford get shipped east to cold weather and a 2 hour time change which could present some stress. Texas is the least tested team in the group. 5 contested matches in a season is not going to instill confidence - their resume is not much stronger than last year's Missouri club. There is no comparison between Texas and last year's Missouri team. Several of the Texas players have national championship experience. That doesn't mean they will make the Final 4, but they are nowhere close to Missouri which tanked in the playoffs last year.

(hint: it's not beating USC) Fair point! The reality is that if Kentucky was in the Pac-12, they would have a lot more losses and not be in the seed talks! I'm not saying that USC "deserves" a seed, but they HAVE played a tough schedule, and I think if you put Kentucky or, say, Colorado State, or Kansas (all three of which ARE in projected seeds talks) in USC's schedule, they would have a lot of losses too.

Texas is not an inexperienced team.
If you want to make the argument that Texas will be the 1st out, no problem. But comparing them to last year's Missouri team is ridiculous.

Anyone who is comparing last years Missouri team with Texas knows nothing about college volleyball period end of story. I am not trying to take away anything from Missouri's great season last year many teams would love to have the season they did last season but comparing them with this years Texas squad is a joke. Everyone knows Texas is a favorite to reach the Final Four, if not at least the elite eight, Missouri didn't even do that last year.

You are comparing expectations for this year with results from last year. Apples, meet oranges. Missouri was seeded #4. That means they WERE "a favorite to reach the Final Four, if not at least the elite eight," just like Texas last year (and likely this year, too).
