Who would you put on an all-star Southern California team by position? It's tough to chose when you have all these guys. Who ever you put on the court it would be an all star team. Here's my opinion: Team 1 MB: Keenan Sanders, Will Hunter OH: James Thomas, Roy Mcfarland L: Colin Mcalister OPP: Noah Dyer S: Casey Mcgarry Team 2 MB: Tyler Alter, Jack Truman OH: Sean Morrisey, Eric Beatty L: Sam Jones OPP: Lucas Lassone, S: Davis Boehle Team 3 MB: Patrick Sohacki, Mel Schroednar OH: Adam Lee, Sam Kobrine L: Michael Chang OPP: Quentin Haarpaintner S: Connor Walbrecht Once again this is just my opinion

Great list.. I would just add Tanner Woods and Jonathon Minsberg somewhere on there.. A lot of good players on that list but i think the Libero from Legacy 18's should be there too (he is still a true 17). Trevor Briggs has been playing up his whole career and doesnt show up on the 17's lists. He played with Kyle Ensing for many years and is also a solid HP player along side the others on the list/

Main Beach, Pac Rim, Bay to Bay Main beach isn't very good. They would not be able to beat any so cal teams. We'll see how they do at the classic

The Balboa 17 team beat the Balboa 18 team last weekend. Last year the Balboa 16 team (now 17) played in the 18 division but I don't think the two teams ever played each other last year.

What a difference from last year at the holiday classic. Last year Pali 16 beat 949 16 in the semis and then won it.
Now There is no Pali 17 team and 949 17 finished 27 th this year.

Coastal, LIVC, Victor. Should be interesting many of them are traveling to SCVA and Chicago so should have a good feel of all the top teams by mid February.

Did anyone see the SCVC 17 vs Balboa17 match at the Holiday Classic?
How did the match play out? What was the difference between these two teams that are loaded with talented players?

Going to be an interesting season. Coastal and LIVBC finished 12 and 14 respectively at Nationals, NVVA finished 21st. Victor caught everyone but Coastal, HBC and Balboa Bay off guard, being as they were a smaller and much more athletic bunch which gave teams a lot of trouble. Victor is not making the trip to Anaheim or Chicago. They are, however, registered for the Rochester CAN-AM. Guaranteed BID! Still not sure how LIVBC pulled off a Volleyball Magazine Top Ten for 16's. Their record just doesn't support it. But, hey, it is recognition for the East coast.
