Committee this year will look to avoid match ups from previous years => PSU and Stanford, FSU and Florida... will avoid being together in the same regional.

Perhaps, but this time it would be Stanford as the #1 seed and PSU as the #8 or #9 seed. So, not worth "avoiding". If they want to "avoid" something, they won't send Texas A&M to Texas sub-regional for a third year in a row.

IMO this would be better!! 1. Stanford with 8. North Carolina 2. Washington with 7. Texas 3. Wisconsin with 6. Florida 4. Florida State with 5. Penn Sate Not sure if you're joking, but that is actually the worst projection I've seen on here. No way UNC and Texas are that low.

looking at Massey ratings: UOP 25 Virginia Tech 60 Lipscomb 69 Minn 36 Mich St 32 North 46 I would have UOP & Minn in versus Va Tech & Lipscomb. Minnesota by virtue of their win over Mich St. Lipscomb nothing strong about their resume whatsoever, a win over Kansas gets them in?? yuk. regarding Va Tech, if the NCAA is gonna penalize Northridge for losing to SB, Irvine, & Davis - then Va Tech shouldn't get by with losses to Clemson(x2) & Wake Forest. Northridge & Ohio definitely played themselves out. Virginia Tech & UOP gonna be real interesting UOP stands out as the toughest call if they are left out. I just don't see how they can leave UOP out, their resume screams out to be in the tournament versus Seton Hall, Va Tech, Lipscomb. www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?s=cvol2014&sub=11590

It helps to see everything laid out to help sort out my own thoughts. Here are a few...
1. Wisconsin's RPKI is 6 but you have them as a 3 seed, which would be fair if their schedule were deceptively tough, but that speaks to the Big 10. If the Big 10 is deceptively tough they should get more than 5 teams in. If Wisconsin is in the 1-4 range I think Michigan State and/or Purdue get in. If the Big 10 really only gets 5 teams in, I'm not sure how you justify bumping their 3 seeded teams up.
2. Iowa State hosting the regional make me doubt that they'll be the top 16 RPKI team that gets yanked for UCLA. They already have 2 host-less regionals. I think somebody gets yanked for UCLA but it will be interesting to see what they do.
3. You have a few extra flights. Samford to FSU, Denver to Colorado State, American to UNC are all drivable... Now there are 6 Pac 12 teams that need to come east but I don't think you need to give up the cheep and easy teams to accommodate them.

Try taking a look at Pablo for the same schools.

Psu is not gonna get 8 seed. 5 or six at lowest. I still think they're gonna get a 4 or 5 seed

#1 Stanford #2 Wash #3 Wisc #4 NC #5 Florida #6 Texas #7 PSU #8 FSU
sorry, the goal isn't to have PSU 'avoid' a match-up until the final four or to inflate Texas - Florida earned a higher seed with their win

RPI? Washington better Record? same Head-to-head? Washington won Good wins? Washington just beat Stanford

Didn't Florida also lose to Texas 3-1 and also to Marquette 3-1. Florida will be the 8th seed
