Sorry. I misunderstood. Lee did play very critical rotations againstWisconsin in the NCAA Tourney, though that was the exception in the later part of the season. Remember that was the match where Carlini came down on Frantti's foot, Frantti was struggling, so Rose put in Lee and Wisconsin had no defense for her. She had 12 kills and 7 errors, hitting .161 in three sets. I think you're misremembering a good performance by a kid off the bench.

Yes, Lee was great in both of the Wisconsin matches last year. They could well have lost to the Badgers in the tournament without her. Remember that was the match where Carlini came down on Frantti's foot, Frantti was struggling, so Rose put in Lee and Wisconsin had no defense for her. Sheffield had his team prepared for Frantti but not Lee. Lee was one player too many for them. That is how depth wins championships. Wisconsin fans gnash their teeth about her since she's from Milwaukee. what if what if -- if she'd picked Wisconsin instead of PSU, maybe the Badgers would have beaten PSU to go to the semifinals. But fwiw I don't think they would have matched up well against Stanford anyway (Inky and Lutz would have had a field day against the Badger middles), so Stanford would have have another championship instead of PSU. (No, BYU would not have beaten Stanford either) Lee started off AMAZING, against wisconsin, but cooled down tremendously towards the end.

Who knows if lee chose Wisconsin and psu picked up another impact player that did same thing. Too many variables with those words. That's why they're worthless talking about

I made a mistake and talked about against PSU, but I thought it was clear what my post was about.

I think you're needing a reminder... www.dignittanyvolleyball.com/penn-state-wins-b1g-championship-match-sort-of-to-advance-to-ncaa-semifinals/ ICYMI- 7 errorless kills immediately off the bench! 12 kills in 3 sets of ANY match is pretty good...the 7 errors makes it less spectacular- But clearly the numbers don't tell the entire story. This was against a strong defensive play by Wisconsin in the Regional Finals. The result would've definitely been different without her coming off the bench when Frantti was having problems terminating in set 1. Lee made key plays during the match. But along with that- she had a few Freshmen mistakes as well.

That is undeniable and a fact that everyone saw and felt. Sometimes Stats don't reflect that. She was a difference maker period.

The idea that Wisconsin had no defense for her was what I was referring. She started off hot, but Wisconsin was able to force her into errors by the end of the match, which you can tell by her error numbers and her hitting percentage. Her biggest contributions in that match were intangible, and not because of a blistering offensive performance.

Who are the projected starters for this season? I have yet to see any footage on Weiskircher so I'm not sure if she is better than Rivera.

Lee,Pierce,Thelen,Weiskircher,Rivera will be in the mix. Edit- Muller too. I don't have any info to believe any others will push in at this point.....yet.

Which Pierce do you see as the starter? (Pardon my ignorance.) k Historically the team usually picks a libero who can play the position for at least two years, so I think Lainy will be L and Kendall the DS.

Kendall's technique , feet and reading ability took a massive jump last year. Her numbers in the last two rounds of the NCAAS were excellent.
