Fairly certain that a hard serve, no matter what speed, is not going to gain you entrance to Stanford. They are looking for a great deal more than just a good volleyball player I don't think anyone claimed that Hayden was ONLY a good volleyball player and nothing else. I am confused about that statement

Anyone know who's interested in Mosser from MN Select 18-1? She and Hilley carried them through the JVAs last weekend.

Word is that Stanford is looking at Mosser. The Select 18-1 team is having a great season!

Huh?
It just dawned on me that Select has the two 16s on their 18s team. You don't see that much anymore.

I've been saying this for a while now. Mosser is a very interesting prospect as far as the Gophers are concerned. 5"11 isn't ideal height, but her approach touch is like 122". She's uber athletic and could be a valuable front-row player for numerous high-major programs

2017 is pretty full at this point, especially at OH.

I 100% agree with you Moody but tell that to most (not all...) D1 programs. Too many times they walk away from a court after watching a club player that can really jump (and has tons of talent...) and say, "Nice player but she's too short..."

It's because of the energy expended. Shorter players have to work harder to play "high."
Although it's really hard to believe 2-3" makes that big of a difference.

Doesn't matter if it requires more energy. Volleyball players have more energy to use. Bottom line is Mosser has won several national championships and is now having an incredible season at Select playing against those "taller" players that big time schools are drooling over.

It may not matter, but that's the reasoning.
I personally believe the truth lies somewhere in the middle, as usual.
