Sabrina Hernandez is awesome but it seems like that would be a huge jump for Sabrina to get the Long Beach job. Ton of good candidates with more college experience.
I think her and Prentice Perkins are good friends.....If Perkins gets the UCI job, UCI might be able to get them both.
I could be wrong on specifics but it seems like just a few years ago Perkins brought her TCU team to Long Beach and beat both UCI and Long Beach on the same day

Brian's contract at LBSU runs through 2018. He's in good health and still loves his job. I wouldn't be surprised is he stays on to coach the Beach 5-7 more years beyond 2018.

I believe UCI has made their hire. Should be a press release out in the near future.

You really think Brian is going to keep coaching until he is 75 years old? 5-7 years beyond 2018 would put him in the 75-77 age range.

UCLA's Andy Bonachowski retired at the age of 75 in 2010. Like Bonachowski, Brian is in good health and he really loves the sport of volleyball and the impact he can make on young lives. I don't think Gimmillaro will be retiring anytime soon.

Thanks guys for pouncing on my mathematical error. Its no wonder that this board is largely silent in the off season.

I thought I knew a month ago, but that turned up being very premature (my apologies for jumping the gun earlier on this thread). I heard a different name this past weekend. So apparently I know jack. Er, which doesn't answer your question, of course.

Wow, I ignored this thread completely and missed the whole Paula Weishoff news. Today is the first I learned of her departure.

Crawford Hall is the best place to watch volleyball in the Big West, the Bren Center one of the worst. Question: What makes Crawford Hall better than Stan Sheriff Center?

Stan Sheriff Center lacks intimacy.
