Washington, Whitney, Courtney , Frantti? Oh and they are pretty decent volleyball players too. And none of them are the kind of athlete that Rhamat is, and none have the potential she has. IMO at this point in time Frantti, Whitney, and Reed are better pure athletes than Alhassen, but Alhassen has some traits that cannot be taught. Being 6'5" with arms longer than your height and ability to one-step jump 24' - 28'. She is not fluid though and if she has to cut, pivot, or make sudden change of directions she is awkward. Yes she has more potential but there are hundreds of Athletes with great potential that do not achieve greatness. I am not saying she won't, but when you are in college and only have 4 years I want someone that has athletic ability with volleyball IQ and skills, not someone that has potential after 7 years when they are 25 could be one of the top middles in the world.

You'd rather have someone that peaks in college? Rather than someone who has the athletic potential to be one of the very best in the world at her position and peaks after college?

Don't ever talk about being psu fan again. Disgraceful. Every psu positive you preach negative to. It's not this one comment that's fine it's a accumulation. Consistantly bringing negative comment to Hancock all last year. I can tolerate being bashed by other teams fans I deserve it but you my friend have no respect

If I am a fan of XYZ school or Head Coach would I rather have a player that is going to be better over the four years of college to help win national championship(s) or player that is raw and has tools but not skill set yet but has potential to be best at her position a couple years after college? I want them both, but if I only get one I want the one who is ready to contribute and win championships.
If I am USA National team coach I want the one who has potential to be best at her position.

No question you would want their best play to happen when they were in college, that's your job. That happening puts them in the best position to have careers at the next level. College coaches arent paid to prepard players to peak as pros.

Getting a great junior player that is very athletic with a high vb IQ and coachable, couple it with an established successful program with outstanding coaching and having the ability to develop that player into becoming an incredible player who makes a difference, inspires the team and can win in cruch time = college coach's dream

And "potential" won championships when? I guess I missed the part where we were talking about championships. we all make mistakes. I guess we have to accept your apology on the misunderstanding. Moving on.

When vbprisoner says when I have an athlete for just 4 years....?? What else could anyone be talking about. Again another misunderstanding I guess.
