I'm guessing July. May 1 is the drop-dead date for undergrad college admissions (not athletes, just the deadline for regular students to accept/decline admission offers). But transfers, especially when they're athletic, have different rules. Many schools can even get undergrad admittance after the May 1 "deadline". It really depends on the school. I'm sure there are plenty of programs out there that would find a way to make it work even if she wanted to wait until mid-August... an overwhelming number of schools have rolling admissions, I know of a top program at a very good school that got a player admitted after August 1.

May 1 is the general deadline for students to accept/decline admission. Then, after May 1, there's a domino effect as schools start offering admission to the waiting list in an attempt to fill vacancies caused by admits who declined admission. If waitlisted students want to go somewhere badly enough to forfeit their deposit to another school where they'd already accepted, then they create a vacancy at the second school... and so on. And this is even without athletics greasing the admissions process for their students. In Ebony's case, I can't think of a single program that wouldn't be falling all over itself to take her, so the coaching staff would do what needed to be done with the admissions office.

"greasing the admissions process" "do what needs to be done" They will do what they are permitted to do at their institution. This isnt SEC football in the 70's. Like I said a majority of schools would be able to get her in right up until school started.

I'm pretty sure that Mick won't allow Ebony to transfer to Texas. So count Texas out.

I simply meant that your average non-athlete high school senior does not have someone on the inside at the college who can help them navigate this stuff. They may have the name of someone at the admissions office, but they don't have a coach who can just walk over and chat up the admissions officers and cut through the red tape. To most average non-athlete high school seniors, or non-athlete college students just wishing to transfer, for that matter, the rules are the rules, the deadlines are the deadlines, and you can't decide in May that you want to apply for admission/transfer to matriculate three months later and have that be okay. There are exceptions to every rule, but not for every person. Some animals are more equal than others.

I have to get my eyes check.

She's already been granted her release. There are restrictions on the release. I heard Mick is forbidding her from going to two programs.

There are restrictions on the release. I heard Mick is forbidding her from going to two programs. Well that sure doesn't seem right that he can dictate where she can go. He doesn't own her.

They also don't stop a player from going somewhere. The restrictions are on whether a release is granted. That's different. Players can and sometimes still do go places without releases.

Since Ebony is leaving California and won't be around to train with the National team in Anaheim, I would guess the next best thing would be to go to Wisconsin and train with the top setter in the nation that will probably be setting the national team in the near future.
