I have no words to describe how happy I am that Loyola defended their championship. But though I am a rambler fan to the bones, I still can't stop thinking about Greg Petty. He has been one of my favorites during the last couple years. Unfortunately, like others, he is also finishing his college career without a national championship ring. It's OK!. But I do hope he gets an invitation to join the national team. It will be a busy summer with lots of opportunities for many players. I'd love to see Jendryk interacting with the big guns of the senior team, but I think his skills will be much more needed for the junior national team. I very much look forward to seeing what's going to happen next.

1. You have to credit great passing by Loyola to have Jendryk get so many opportunities at the middle.
2. Seemed like Loyola's float serves were not that tough, but were giving Lewis alot of problems. Hutz served floats and Lewis seemed to be platforming them. Why? Why not hands? seems like they put Lewis out of system way too much with easy floats. To me, that was a big difference in the match.
3. Ynaz was beast on defense. Love his effort.
4. Not impressed with Lewis' setter. too many miscues. Hutz was solid.
5. Don't know who's going to give Loyola a run for its money next year. Too many seniors for Lewis.

Pass has been a key for the success of the ramblers. Caldwell had trouble this season in that area, but Jaeschke and Selsky both have been pretty solid. Other teams should learn a thing or two from them. MPSF teams, especially.

Exciting, yes. Good volleyball, not so much. It's amazing that Loyola (especially the setter) stunk up the joint with a 14-11 lead and then pulled it out. The reason, silly Lewis errors. These things are usually lost by the team that makes the most errors. Lewis is a very disciplined team, but their setting is mediocre, and they rely too much on two outside hitters and good blocking. Anyway congrats to the Illinois state champion. No, this isn't MPSF bias. None of those teams earned any right to play in the national championship. However, my ESPN U (meaning "unimportant" I guess) listing said "BYU vs. Irvine! As my wife would say,"who pissed in your cheerios this morning?". After a finish like that you want to talk about who stunk up the joint and silly errors and one team losing it rather than who won. Your asinine reference to the Illinois state championship....kind of shows how small minded you are.

That was a classic. Great match where both squads left everything out there.

Returning Langlois, Sander, Meretev, Underwood, Sutton and Heap... AND they get ben patch back. I'd love to see a Patch vs. Jaeschke match-up

It's tough being a jack mormon at BYU.

Never mind ... looked it up
1.a Mormon who is not strictly observant. "the only thing that's going to end up happening is me doing homework on Sundays and drinking Pepsi and being just another Jack Mormon" 2.a sympathetic non-Mormon living among Mormons.
