I think Irvine might surprise some people this year with their new coach in place.

If rumors are true and Jane Croson is going to Riverside, then Riverside could be a little better. Here are my 2015 Big West Women's Volleyball Standings predictions: 1. Hawaii 2. UC Davis 3. CSU Long Beach 4. UCSB 5. CSU Northridge 6. UC Irvine 7. Cal Poly SLO 8. UC Riverside 9. CSU Fullerton I am aware of the JC saga but have not followed it. When does she get caught by the 5 year eligibility window? Seems like this has gone on forever. So Jane Croson is actually considering playing college volleyball again?

My Big West question is has Nikki Withers left Cal St. Fullerton as a student? If not is there a chance she returns to the team? If she has left where is she transferring to? Withers is a phenomenal talent. Whereever she goes she will be a star. Last season, she just didn't have a supporting cast she needed to go farther in the conference. I remember someone saying a while back that she was transferring to the WCC. No idea what is happening with her though.

I am here! With eight freshman returning (including 1 RsFr) CAL POLY will be better,...how much,...hard to tell. Hoping to hear coach Crosson found a 6'4 transfer,...nothing yet. Just lost the Tamas' team assistant coaches (husband/wife) to Uni of Nebraska.
GoPOLY!!!

Nikki Withers was a good player on a very bad team. Although a solid Division 1 player, she is by no means a "phenomenal talent," at least not yet. She will need a good coaching staff to reign in her over confidence and to maximize her skills. We are late in the transfer process and Withers will probably play her sophomore season at Cal State Fullerton.

1 Hawaii. We do lose two keep players, but we make up for it with equally talented, if not better players. Mitchem can play OH or MB, So its to be determined where she goes, but lets see what happens. Maglio is more than capable of handling the other middle spot if needed.
2. UCSB. Return most of their starter (Correct me if I'm wrong but the only key player they lose is santi), not to mention they have a great class coming in, with Lindsey headlining it and everyone says she's the read deal. They are the only team IMO who can beat Hawaii.
3. LBSU. Lost a lot with graduation and transfer but pick up some nice transfers along the way, but don't see them making the tournament or beating Hawaii.
4. UC irvine. Bubica will carry this team on her back. Lose two pin hitters, but they should be able to replace them.
5. Northridge. Lose a lot and lose their most talented played in hinger, so don't see them being too big of a threat.
6. Cal Poly. Solid Freshman class will be better.
7. Davis. Davis could either be a vast improvement or go down. I don't know where to rank them TBH.
8. Riverside. Not much to be said.
9. Fullerton, lost their best player in withers, don't see them beating anyone but riverside.

Here's the beauty of the upcoming 2015 season, The Big West as a whole is elevating the conference with parody. Long gone are the days where UH, LBSU, UCSB and CSUN could just dominate the rest of the teams. On any given day, anyone can be beaten. As the conference gets stronger from top to bottom, the more the NCAA will increase the amount of teams making the dance. They need to add one or three more schools in the mid future.

She is gonna have to learn to play all the way around in order to step up her game. I also feel like she needs to be much more of a team player. She didn't seem to really engage her teammates that much during games.

Im both excited and scared to see Ruddins. Excited to finally see what the hype is about, but scared because she very well could carry this UCSB team (Not that they would need her since they have a lot of weapons). Should be in interesting season and I see UCSB, depending on pre season schedule, making the tournament
