Pretty sure it was Stanford in 2004 with Kehoe Wasn't Holloway a freshman? She was a redshirt freshman.

First run choices are Stanford, PSU, and Texas. Next tier is Nebraska, Wisconsin, Florida. I'd be absolutely shocked if the NC came from a team not listed above. Like Notre Dame? LOL

I know we are a dark horse but I would love to see Kentucky in the Final Four this season. Morgan Bergen was Second Team All- American last season and she has a pretty good group of front line players, That can happen if the NCAA is their friend ... and every "in the know" member of this board knows what that means.

Florida State is a team no one really talks about, but I think they should be in the discussion at least. They have a pretty good team. Walch is in her senior year and has made some dramatic improvements over her career. She could possibly be a 1st team All American at the end of the season IMO

Interested to see who people think could legitimately win National Championship this year. The teams in the top 15, and possibly a Cinderella. It doesn't matter about the season as much as how you play in the tournament, who you have to play the match ups, do you have healthy players etc, and some luck.

I think only 11 programs have ever won. Only 10 teams have won a NC since NCAA started in 1981. My money is on one of the 4 below highlighted teams from that 10(my ranking on left): 1. Penn State - 7 2. Stanford - 6 UCLA - 4 Hawaii - 3 Long Beach State - 3 4. Nebraska - 3 USC - 3 Pacific - 2 3. Texas -2 Washington - 1 In Final but didn't win: Wisconsin - 2 BYU - 1 California - 1 Florida - 1 Illinois - 1 ( Sleeper) Minnesota - 1 Oregon - 1

Wouldn't surprise me to see an exact repeat of the 2008 Final Four participants in Omaha -- PSU, Nebraska, Texas, and Stanford.
Since Nebraska has been a participant in both previous Final Fours played in Omaha, I wonder what the atmosphere would be like (I attended in 2008) if they weren't a participant this coming December; probably much more subdued, but probably still extremely well-attended.

It was pretty close to those four in 2014. I wouldn't be upset if that's how things turned out for 2015.

Wasn't Holloway a freshman? She was a redshirt freshman. Exactly. Kehoe has been the only true freshman 5-1 setter to set her team to the title. Sharpley was the other freshman, but in a 6-2.

Never say never. You never know what the college landscape will look like 10-20 years from now. We do know if it does change the gap between the have and have nots will be greater, not smaller. On the whole, yes I'd agree with that, but, still, you never know. In particular individual schools who, for some inexplicable reason, land a game changing recruit or two and suddenly wham, national prominence. Wisconsin is the most recent iteration of this. And yes they play in the Big 10, but IMO their story could really have been any number of teams.
