For the liberos, I thought Villano and O'Rourke had strong seasons that were worth consideration, with Smith probably third on the list just based on her overall team's performance. Florida and Tennessee both held opponents to low hitting percentages, due not only to blocking but to the play of their liberos as well.

Liberos will never beat out a net player and rightfully so.

Just saw this list. I see no major issues. If I were to change anything I would take the second middle and degastino of the list and add Gina Tillis from LSU and maybe a second libero but I cannot think of any I would honestly add that deserve to be in that group
On a personal note congrats to all the Aggies I would have picked Babers over Aiple personally but love both of them.
Why couldn't this wait until the season was over ??

Region vote should be interesting for Coach of the Year should Mizzou beat A&M tonight. Have to think Kreklow would get that one if that happened.

A thought I've had about the Gators this year- maybe with as much offensive firepower as we have, maybe it's been hard for any one or two players to step up and lead. Our offense has been really great, but sometimes it's a good thing to have one player that can go off. With the offense spread out so much, I feel like no one can really get into a rhythm.
Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful we have so much talent and maybe it's a good problem to have. But the results state that maybe when everyone's good, no one is? (a la The Incredibles haha)

(a la The Incredibles haha) Arguably for regular season results. But with such talent and experience, including coaching, anticipate deeper run in tourney than many expect if given a decent draw.

I hope so! I think the sky is the limit for this team. We'll see what happens. It'll be an interesting and exciting tournament around the whole nation!

Why couldn't this wait until the season was over ?? Agreed. Since Gators not playing SEC game this week and were already eliminated, maybe league did think the season was over! As another poster said, Kreklow could get the regional honor. Similar situation last year when Kan was not named to All-SEC but was All-American.

18 on the SEC All-Conference First Team! It's like a participation trophy only better.

18 on the SEC All-Conference First Team! It's like a participation trophy only better. Except 14/18 come from just four teams...
