Ebony is taking full swing tonight in pregame warm up! But was ruled out as playing? Thought that was a little shady, to be honest. Elliott specifically said she was not suiting up.

Seriously SportyBucky, this wasn't like Texas was deflating the balls or raising the net. Even if Elliott had listed Ebony in the starting line up 30 minutes prior to the start of the match, Nebraska would not have had time to prepare for the "surprise." Great teams prepare and deal with "surpises." Since you thought it was shady Elliott didn't announce Ebony would start or even play and it's your opinion, I will respect that..but, one person doesn't make an entire team. Ebony might have dominated, but she wasn't playing alone. It wasn't Ebony versus Nebraska, it was Texas versus Nebraska (stating the obvious) Don't worry, Nebraska will recover, as all great teams do.

Go back to your own thread and stop trolling other teams pages. Did he do anything against the rules? No Too much fake internet drama sometimes and this is one example.

Much like he creates drama with all the Texas fans and our "big egos" and "lack of knowledge of the game", he's made up statements by Elliott to stir the pot. Where did he specifically state she would not suit up? He stated she wasn't taking swings in practice in an AAS article. Since we had one poster here who had a report she was practicing all this week, I wouldn't be surprised if that quote by the paper was from last week or after last weekend's tournament. She was suited up last weekend but never once took a hard swing. The Statesman has always been inaccurate with their volleyball reporting, you can usually find one factual inaccuracy in every volleyball article their staff posts.

I am not a Fien fan and even I am feeling sorry for her. I know that Anika is the new Kelsey Robinson but come on John! Talk about a confidence killer. And putting in Boender over her first? I agree.

I'm a TX fan and was at the games. not trolling. I think it's shady to say a player isn't suiting up and then have her play. If you don't, we can disagree.

No Too much fake internet drama sometimes and this is one example. That is why he said "shady" and not "illegal". You are making it a bigger deal by your comments. Normally people who "hate drama" seem to contribute quite a bit too it. As far as my thoughts? He can say whatever he wants, but I agree, it was a bit "shady" if he knew she would play. I have no clue if he knew that however. If I was Elliot I probably would have done the same thing. He doesn't owe it to give Nebraska a heads up. He owes his team a strategic advantage. So I guess I'm "shady" as well. I get not saying one way or the other and making the opposing team guess. I do not like intentionally misleading. He said she wasn't even suiting up. Shade.

Elliott said she hasn't even taken swings and there's no timetable for Ebony's return. she's still and will be sidelined with a back injury. #SMH

The part where he says there's no timetable is not a direct quote and hence is not in quotation marks. You can also clearly see he says nothing about her suiting up. Since she suited up the prior weekend and people clearly stated that she did, it's moronic for you to continue repeating that Elliott said she wouldn't suit up. The only thing shady with respect to Texas volleyball is the posters on volleytalk who come over to throw shade when their own teams suck.

If she hadn't taken swings, she wouldn't have been the only RS warming up yesterday. Seemed pretty comfy for no swings.

This is a quote from that article. If you have excellent reading skills he actually implies that it will be sooner. Nice try #sportybuckywisconsinfan #trollextraordinaire

Folks are way too sensitive. In college football, many head coaches have refrained from releasing timely information on injuries on the likelihood that a player (especially QB) would see playing time. But, when a women's volleyball head coach does it, there's an outcry.
