How about trying out Carli Lloyd and Micha Hancock on the team?. They are, without a doubt, the best setters with AVCA label. Dietzen shouldn't even be on the team anymore. Chiaka Ogbogu would be the perfect replacement for her. Thank you missed your gem.

USA was better last year. So many changes this year and thus they've been inconsistent. Also not playing teams at full strength this year has given team USA a false sense of security. Serbia, Russia and China at full strength have beaten team USA this year. The setting and the round robin of OPP have been a problem. Kreklow connects better with the middles and Lowe. Glass connects better with the lefts and Murphy. What's it going to be? USA has been winning a lot but against whom? The other teams have had major major handicaps most of times... Just sayin. We CLEARLY weren't better in WGP last year. And we certainly weren't better in the WCH match against Italy (luckily, it wasn't a knockout and we didn't have to see them again). This team is VERY reliant on serving its opponents into submission, especially against elite teams. We do have a lot of very good servers, which can make that tenable (unfortunately, the current A team lineup has 3 relatively weak servers, which makes margins thin). The team as a whole doesn't block nearly as well as it used to, and while we can be good defensively we're never going to be Japan. We really struggle to stop teams when they can get in-system or a reasonable approximation thereof. Are you serious?? This years WGP was a joke and last years WCH had better teams top to bottom. You really think team USA has played better teams overal this year? Come on. Not Even comparable.

At the end of the day, 2 Euro winners or a Euro and Asian winner is better for the Olympics field in terms of competitiveness. Everyone knows it's true.
I actually think it's a good think that the US will be forced to play together again for qualification. Give the new additions more play time and glass more time to get back into the groove. IMO the Brazil route is gonna bite them. By time the Olympics rolls around, the A team won't have played together for a year and a half....chemistry issues? Perhaps! They certainly will have the pressure as hosts.

We won a better title last year. That doesn't mean we played better over the course of last season.

You can't compare last years WGP to this years WGP. You're saying we weren't better last year. I disagree. Just because we had a lot of wins and won the WGP in 2015 doesn't mean were better, this year. The team made it to the WGP final this year playing weak teams... It was almost as if the FIVB teamed up with the NCAA selection committee PSUd team USAs path to the final round, even though they had an automatic berth. (notice the joke) anyway Italy, Brazil, China, Japan... all sent much better teams last year to the tournament. This year.. not so much. My point is that USA isn't doing anything better this year than they were last year and looking at the results this year are foolish.... clearly USA hasn't won against teams at full straight this year. Russia, China and Serbia have proved that. We haven't played Brazil or Italy at full strength this year. Team USA needs something different. I don't know what that is but clearly they are not going to get it done with what they are doing now. I don't know if Glass is the answer currently and the middles need to be better in every aspect. Lowe did not produce at the same level as she did at the WGP, but again, that was to be expected.

Foluke should be at the peak of her volleyball playing abilities and knowledge.... But she isn't. Does anyone know if she has a chronic injury she has been dealing with?

Dude, in last year's team we were losing to and looking terrible against teams that weren't at full strength. We did not look good, and we didn't look good for a lot of the world champs either (remember the Italy match, or when we lost a set to Mexico?). We didn't beat full strength Brazil/China this year, but on the whole we looked a lot better than we did for 2014 (except for those few matches at the end of the last tournament)

Not very many comments on how Hill had a 1-on-1 swing on set point and she went well wide, but by all means it was the setters fault that hitters were struggling. (and to make it clear, I am by far a fan of Alisha Glass. I just think some of the comments are ill-advised..)

The real problem is she received exactly half of the serves in the match and only passed 23% of them excellent. c4 will not be happy but she does not belong on the floor except as a serving sub. Dietzen's scream shows the real desperation behind this roster and system. Fat lady sang well. Nothing will change until we have a new coach.

Didnt you say at the beginning of the tournament that any team with her as an attacker should be able to win the world cup?
