You guys are showing weakness, so it's not like we're not gonna call you out on it! Ok. But your making it sound like because they had one off night it's open season on psu now and everyone is gonna beat them now like your doing with Nebraska No, but if Minnesota team can hold PSU to .198--that is reason for hope!!

It could have just been a off night. Who's to say when they play again psu doesn't hit 300. They held them on off night to 198 and psu still won

Who's to say when they play again psu doesn't hit 300 That's a fair point, but can PSU expect to turn things around the very next weekend? Against Nebraska, no less. Neb has one of the best backrows in the nation, as well as a couple elite blockers.

I think people need to recognize that Minnesota did play great, exposed some issues, slowed people down, and still PSU won. So if someone were to ask me, "whats wrong with PSU" I would say, "very, very, little.

I think they can and have. One of the biggest keys to winning in my opinion is leveraging your talent and things you do better than your opponent. Improving areas are important, but imposing your will with your strengths is the bigger part of that picture IMO. If PSU's big four do what they are capable of doing they will survive their short comings.

So if someone were to ask me, "whats wrong with PSU" I would say, "very, very, little. Good pt. Minnesota had only 23 attack errors for the 5 set match -- minus PSU's 11 blocks they only had 12 non-block-related errors, am I reading that right? PSU statistically doesn't look that bad either other than the hitting percentage, which was a lot of Paige Tapp gumming things up -- she is one of my favorite players in the conference. PSU just couldn't get leverage somehow. Maybe fatigue, maybe just the first really tough match of the year and they were off balance and reacting instead of controlling like they usually do. They didn't have an answer for all those tips. And you're right, despite all that, PSU hung in there and didn't let the 5th set get away -- not a bad thing at all.

The best NE can hope for this weekend is a 1-1 record. If they do beat PSU, then I think they lose to OSU. I think more likely it will be a loss to PSU, followed up with a win at OSU. I just see no way they go 2-0.

I don't see why it's unreasonable for the No. 4 team in the nation to win both their matches this weekend.

I don't see why it's unreasonable for the No. 4 team in the nation to win both their matches this weekend. Especially with the depth that the team possesses. If some of the hitters from Friday's match are exhausted, Cook has the option of bringing in Olivia, using Anni in the front row or starting Meg on Saturday.

Yeah, nothingbutcorn has been playing the role of Eeyore lately.
If they win at PSU they will be so pumped up and know what is at stake headed to tOSU and will not take foot off the gas and steam-roll tOSU. The hard part is winning at PSU to have the opportunity to go 2-0.
