Does anyone know why Adversity has not signed up for the Chicago qualifier yet? Looks like there are the other club not to do so.
In the 16s division, in terms of depth, the Chicago qualifier is going to be better than the SCVA qualifier this year. There are 15-20 teams that are really solid and will be competing for a bid. They are sort of in my order from best to worst but it wasn't really thought out, so don't criticize it.
Outrigger 16U (AH) - putting them at the top because of the experience on this team (16 previous medals combined at nationals, 4 gold 11 silver and one bronze) and have a coach with national team experience as a player
Ocean Bay 16 Quiksilver (FL) - had match point vs. HBC in holiday classic, and HBC came in 5th in 15 open and 3rd in 14 open, james hartley is an absolute monster, best player in the class of 2019
LIVBC 16 National (GE) - no holes, they are legit this year and are a contender
HPSTL B16 Royal (GW) - athletic lefty oppo, great libero, well coached and a extremely solid team
Ultimate B16 Gold (GL) - good all around team with good experience at the setting and outside positions
MVC B16-KYLE (BG) - big middles and solid everything else
Chicago Bounce 16 Red (GL) - big team as well, had 2 guys on the Palos all tournament team and are a borderline contender
Durham Attack Black (CA) - 5th in 15 open last year but pretty small except for that middle that looks like a football player
SPVB B16 Runbird (GL) - have beaten Ultimate twice
Bay to Bay 16-1 (NC)) - big team, still trying to find their nitch
Pac6 16s (SC) - Akhil Tangutur is legit - one of the best players in the class of 2019
Adversity 16 Purple (GL) - lots of talent but have no won anything big so far, solid team
Southport 16s (BG) - 10th in 15 open last year, good team but did not do well at Palos last weekend
BRYC Boys 16 National (CH) - been in the open division each of the last two years, pretty small but know how to win games
D1 Chicago 16 Green (GL) - started strong but have been sputtering of late, plenty of examples if you scroll up in the forum
Orlando Gold 16 Black (FL) - got a bid for the 15 open division last year, should be ok, also going to SCVA qualifier
HPSTL B16 Orange (GW) - solid team, a lot of guys played on HPSTL 15-1s last year that came in 11th in 15 open
Academy Boys 16 Red (GE) - a couple guys from LIVBC 15-1s and 15-2s on this team, should be solid
Others: Milw Sting 161 Boys, RVC 16-1, SPVB B16 Wave, Pipeline 16-UA, Hitmen 16-Elite, Coastal B16 Navy, A5 Mizuno 16B-Erin
