I'll ask it again to folks who know the game better than I, are Stadick and Szews good enough to play on SPRI's first team?

On the surface, yes However all of the SPVB teams are a mix of 17's and 18's Only the staff at SPVB can really answer your question as team chemistry, player strengths/weaknesses, etc go into determining the best mix of kids to achieve the best results.

I'm very confused. Did SPRI move to Wisconsin? Why are we talking about them?

I'll ask it again to folks who know the game better than I, are Stadick and Szews good enough to play on SPRI's first team? Two summers ago Stadick was the only player his grade to make the Youth National team, and he started on that team. This past summer he once again made the Youth National team and was awarded as the Best Blocker of the tournament (so, the best blocker in the world for that age group). Stadick has been looked at as the top recruit in the country. He could start for any team in the country, and blocking-wise has been at a college level since he was 16.
I can't speak to Szews as I have never coached him and have only seen him a limited amount of times, but I do know for a fact that some big time West Coast schools wanted him very badly, so I would guess yes, he is also good enough to start there.

Overall, not a very strong field of teams for the 17/18's

Interesting to see MVC 16-Kyle in the 17/18 division, but they wouldn't have faced much of a challenge with the teams in 15/16s. And they get Sting 18s right out of the gate......welcome to the big boys show.

Sting 18's win over MVC 17s who beat MVC 18s to make finals. Gotta love driving to southside Chicago for an all Wisconsin final four.

We would've had a bid if my coaches decided to start the first team all state setter instead of the honorable mention setter.

The "quiet time" in the WI club season is coming to a close with other state's school seasons wrapping up and club teams getting back together. With the Southport Back-in-the-Gym tourney coming up next weekend, can anyone help me remember how the Dale Rohde tourney in April finished? Here's what I remember, please correct or add.
17/18s: 1 - MVC 18-Brad 2 - Sting 18 3 - MVC 16-Kyle 3 - Cedarburg 5 - MVC 17-Jake
15/16s: 1 - Southport 16 2 - MVC 16-Alyssa 3 - Sting 16-1
The teams at Southport this weekend look to be a similar field. Team list here: southportvbc.com/#/tourney. Interesting to see Southport 16s in the 17/18 division this time.

Surprised Southport 16's are even wasting their time in this tournament at all, should be preparing for Rio and not there destroying petty 17/18's teams.
