Not necessarily the best VB player, although she could be, but who is the player that you most enjoyed watching play? Why?

Logan Tom. Killer instincts. I knew her dad, Mel.

For me, it was Courtney Schultz of Stanford. She helped the Cardinal to a national championship as a libero back in 2004. The reason I liked watching her was because she was a converted middle blocker who literally did anything and everything that was asked if her to help her team win. She wasn't the best defensive player, but was a pretty good passer. A middle converting to libero? Pretty rare and a cool story, imho.

Being fairly new to college V-ball (~4 years), my memories do not extend very far back. So for me, it is without a doubt Lauren Carlini. The confidence, the fire and intensity and the amount of skill she has without appearing to even try is absolutely amazing. I also hear a lot of little girls saying that they want to be like Lauren when they get older. So in addition to her skills, she is also an ambassador to a new generation of players (at least in Wisconsin)

Growing up, I got the volleyball bug watching Lauren Cacciamani. More recently, I loved watching Cassidy Lichtman play. Could do everything, and do it well, and was just great to watch.

I was going to say Lauren Cacciamani, too -- if I were to pick someone from outside the team I follow the most closely. A middle hitting from the back row. What's not to like? She and Terri Z. were fun to watch, as was Val Sterk with MSU.

Deja McClendon! Her IQ is unbelievable. Also, Jane Croson! Just a natural volleyball player!

Logan Tom. It has been interesting to watch her evolution. I started watching volleyball earnestly her freshman year of college. As a freshman, she was a great athlete and extremely intuitive. Over her professional career she became an excellent passer. She was ALWAYS a fantastic, intuitive defender. She was ALWAYS an instinctive disciplined blocker... though that has declined in the last few years. What I find fascinating is that these last couple of years professionally her serve is better than it ever has been. One thing can be said, is that no one takes her job on the court more seriously than Logan Tom (much to some of her teammates chagrin). Even though she is not the type of player that should be the bail out (taking out the trash) attacker, team USA used her as such for a good 8+ years. I wonder if anyone has logged as many hours with team USA than Logan Tom.
The other player I've loved to watch is Taismary Agüero. What other player in the sport (at the highest level) has played left side, right side and setter?. Probably the most intelligent volleyball player I've seen play the game.
