For 16s, I think that southport, BRYC, and RVC played really well at Chicago but they don't really have what it takes to get the bid. I predict Adversity with a definite bid and the two others up for grabs I don't think predicting bid results here will be easy. Only 3 or 4 teams that finished in Gold/Silver and did not receive bids will be in STL, so it might even drift as far down as Bronze (Hitmen, HPSTL Orange, etc.) Your forgetting about some good teams like Pittsburgh 16-1 and sixpak 16-1. Both are solid teams that can make gold and get bids.

For St Louis, looks like most of the Gold brkts are set for 16 teams How do you know the gold brkt has 16 teams?

Looking at the top teams in 16s and how they have done in bid tournaments so far, I'd put them in the following three groups (no specific ranking within the groups):
HPSTL B16 Royal 3rd at SCVA (bid), 9th at BWVC HVA 16 PERFORMANCE 9th at SCVA (bid) Ultimate B16 Gold 3rd at BWVC (bid) LIVBC 16 National Gold 3rd at BWVC (bid) MVC B16-KYLE 5th at BWVC (bid) Chicago Bounce 16 Red 5th at BWVC (bid), 2nd at Florida Adversity 16 Purple 10th at BWVC Roch PaceBootleggr161 1st at Can-Am (bid)
Momentum 16 Black 15th at SCVA RVC 16-1 5th at BWVC SPVB B16 Runbird 11th at BWVC SPVB B16 Mizuno 13th at BWVC Southport 16s 13th at BWVC Vortex16 Storm 13th at BWVC
HPSTL B16 Orange 18th at BWVC Hitmen 16-Elite 19th at BWVC, 11th at Florida LIVBC 16 National Blue 19th at BWVC Pittsburgh 16-Black 5th at Can-Am Warren Sixpack 16-1 9th at Can-Am 352 Elite 16 Boys Lime 6th at Florida
I would expect Adversity to get a bid along with any two out of group 2. We'll have to see how Can-Am fits into Chicago results, so not really sure where Pittsburgh and Warren Sixpack fit, either group 2 or 3.

Their match against LIVBC was ugly. And I would count SPVB Mizuno out as well, just based on what I've personally seen from them.

I think Vortex's success at BWVC was a fluke, I don't believe they can really compete with the top teams and get a bid. However, I think Runbird and RVC are most likely going to snag bids. Both really solid teams and I just can't see Southport doing it.

Warren Sixpack 18-1s definitely have a shot to take a bid. A lot of power up front. Inconsistent at times though. Have a good shot but dont have the setter have talent everywhere else but lack setter. Have a very good opposite who is going to penn state

Concerning the 18s division
Should be an interesting tournament. Haven't really seen any consistency amongst the top teams, other than mizuno of course as far as the Midwest is concerned.
There are 3 bids in St. Louis, correct?
I'm honestly shocked that sting and uno are still searching for their bids. What happened to them in Chicago? Both teams have been on the up-and-up for years. Curious.
As far as any predictions:
I see the top teams being: Mizuno Ultimate gold (?) HiP Runbird Hit men Uno Sting(?) D1 Ultimate blue(?) Vortex (?) Adversity (?)
*no particular order ** (?) indicates I'm not confident in assessing a teams ability for this season. Any input from people who've seen these teams play would be great. *** absolutely no knowledge on teams outside Midwest. I'm sure that some belong on my list. Bid winners: Uno Sting Pipeline
Don't know why, just have this feeling that teams like uno and pipeline are gonna shock the world. The bigger teams don't have as much heart as they used to, and more often than not, the smaller and scrappy teams seem to always pull through. Just my opinion.
Let me know what you all think! Cheers!

Mizuno and runbird have been the top two teams in the Midwest pretty consistently I believe.

I mean to be fair to Sting, they were 6-0 heading into the challenge match vs Ultimate blue to see who would get into gold, where they lost 16-14 set 3. Kinda unfair how that one match decided their chances of getting a bid even though they had beaten the fifth seed earlier, but I definitely think they'll get their bid at St. Louis.
