Congrats to USC. They crushed the competition this year. Hughes and Claes are so impressive. My favorite moment in their matches is when the opponent decides to try something different, and serve Kelly. That usually lasts for about one point!

Only watched the airs on TV, but it was fun to follow. I paid pretty much equal attention to that as I did Huntington. I wish there was a way to make it television friendly and you could watch all 5 matches. I wish they at least did the for the Championship.
DO they not do an individual type performance for teams? Like throw all the teams in a giant tournament where they are more so just playing for themselves? They could still give the accomplishments to the schools.

When the AVCA ran the tournament, they had both individual pairs and team competitions. Now that the NCAA runs it, it's just teams.

They're airing the 2-pair match right now, and they have a second video feed of Alexa Strange's parents, with her dad mic'd up, so you can hear him narrating the action for her mom, who's blind. Aww... They mic'd up Greg Strange? I hope the broadcast is on a seven second delay. Hahaha. He kept it PG.

So does anyone have the list of the full all tournament team? I know Ngauamo/Muno unsurprisingly made it for UCLA (they are undefeated) but who else?
Also, are there Beach VB All Americans? When will those be announced?

they should keep the team tourny in the gulf, and then hold pairs a week later in SoCal
get the best of both coasts and increase exposure

Texas even has Houston, Corpus and Austin (I suppose if need be). Biloxi would be nice also. LA may have a beach of use to boot. I guess the point might be that the AVCA and BP (British Petroleum, who's looking still to improve images after the oil mishap) should team and host yearly in one of these towns for pairs. A two day tourney of about the same number of entries. The reason why Gulf Shores is such a prime location is because they've managed to get the full town, I believe, through grass roots/USAV Regional affiliation(s) to buy entirely into the annual event. I don't see why it also couldn't be done in MS and TX.
