I didn't think redshirts were eligible for NFOY or conference FOY. Wasn't that the case with Lutz a few years back?

I picked Badgers in 5 here in this poll, too bad I did not do the same for my PTW....... No question who the B10 players of the week and freshman of the week is (for the second time in 4 weeks). By my faulty memory, Haggerty averaged 6 kps while hitting .428 for the two matches in Texas. Come to think of it, she did pretty well against TAV in Kansas City in the championship match at JVA world challenge, maybe Wis just needs to play a few more games against Texas teams to keep her going. By God I cannot begin to express how glad I am that she pulled her commit and came to Wisconsin. Now to figure out the right side and what is going to happen there for the season. But Texas believes White is FOY.

BTW, seems like Texas could use a little help at middle, wonder if anybody would still pick Texas' middles who are more athletic over Wisconsin's. Not a jab at Texas, pointedly jabbing at whoever said that
6 for 19 with 4 errors and 7 BA vs 18 for 44 with 3 errors and 14 BA/1 BS

She hit .204. had 9 hitting errors, and 3 service errors. She is very good, but hardly all world.

I am interested to see which other freshmen in the B1G will assert themselves as frontrunners for FOY, so far it's been all Haggerty and Hart.

Except the match before that. 27 kills in a three game match against a ranked opponent at their place. Maybe, just maybe a year in the gym for White helps with consistency. But you're welcome to your opinions.

Before saying that which is necessary, I will say this: Many nice TX fans in the stands and in this city, and they are certainly the vast majority. However, they they don't abound on this board.
I digress..."No way I'd ever take WI's MHs over TX's" "But Obagie is so athletic." And "Haleigh Nelson certainly overrated." And "Williams wasn't REALLY an all american." THAT is why you play, and coincidentally, it's why I severely dislike many Texas fans on this board. Inability to be objective and consider the possibility that anyone could be good other than those wearing burnt orange (white today).
And finally, I will be a poor sport and say this. WI came to TX down one MAJOR component of their offense with a libero who has a partially torn ACL and beat TX. I want to hear the excuses, or maybe just the criticism. Either way, "yay, and I would take our MHs over yours any day.".

A&M is terrible, so some context is required. A&M isn't terrible. They pushed TX at TX even though they lost in 3. Error-prone? Yes. Lacking discipline? Yes. Terrible? Absolutely not. You know what is true? Your statement is hyperbole and you're on the wrong board.

But Texas believes White is FOY. Reading back through the thread (just got home) I see the White reference. No problem at all with the assertion of potential first team AA, she has put up really strong numbers so far this season and deserves any accolades coming to her. Don't know about FOY, that is too far in the future right now (if she is even eligible) but Fitz, Haggerty, Hart and Scoles/Borup are putting up some pretty strong arguments as of now.

I think Haggerty's stats over the weekend will have her in the running for a couple awards. She did not hit for great percentage against Texas, but UW did lean on her 20 kills, and she found a way to adjust somehow and become effective. That is partly what turned the match. She hit well enough that she is still hitting well over 0.400 for the weekend against some good competition.
