If Jazz Sweet is going to start at RS, someone's going to need to teach her how to jump between now and August. She is a pretty highly rated recruit. What are her strengths?

I would not be surprised to see a 6-2 next year. GBR. I don't think JC likes the 6-2 much; but the heir apparent will get on the floor some! GO HUSKERS A 6-2 and a hybrid 5-1 could function very similar. Like you I want to see Atherton playing somewhere.

Cook has said in the past that he doesn't like 6-2's much, and that he thinks it can be hard for hitters to adjust to a new setter.

She just needs to get up high enough to use it at the college level. She wants to play right away but needs a little conditioning work to contribute the way Nebraska needs her to. Texas, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Minnesota's recruits in the match appeared much more explosive.

What are the thoughts on McClellan and Strivins? As far as being ready to contribute?

They will not run a 6-2, Atherton is not the right fit for Nebraska. K. Hunter will finish her senior year in a 5-1. I don't see Atherton playing until K Hunter graduates if at all.
They need an OH transfer once again as losing Haggerty has put a huge wrench in their OH core. Boender is not the answer unfortunately or she would have played more this year when Malloy struggled.
Although Stanford was amazing with all those freshman, I see a bigger learning curve for all those freshman at Nebraska next year.

Boender had a solid stat line when she did play. she also did well vs. Texas the year before. I would love to see Albretch get a shot. I like seeing her run the bic

What are the thoughts on McClellan and Strivins? As far as being ready to contribute? Well, my thoughts are that she better be ready to contribute (Stivrins). She's a top 10 recruit with good size who's had a full season now to compete against elite level talent in practice. I also believe Mcllelan may be borderline ready to make the rotation for Nebraska. I don't believe Sweet is ready to start for Nebraska next season. I think she's going to struggle with opposing blocks unless she develops an incredibly high IQ of manuevering the block and utilizing it to her advantage or unless she gains about 4-5 inches on her contact point. OH1- Foeke OH2- Albrecht/Reeves M1: Holman MB: Mclellan RS: Stivrins S- Hunter L- Maloney DS- Townsend This is how I see it going as of now.

I wouldn't say that Atherton isn't a good fit for Nebraska; She is a true Freshman after-all! Don't forget that she came in graduating High school early! Let's give her a chance! You know people; these girls wouldn't be here if they didn't possess talent! And Yes; I do believe she is the heir apparent! Thursday Nebraska was off their game! I told my wife that Stanford would beat Texas! Stanford peaked at the right time and they were red hot!! GO HUSKERS
