YBG is transferring to USC? How did I miss this? wishful thinking.....stay tuned... I can see YBG transferring back to LA and I can see Sun transferring back in 2018. I spent an August helping a friend move to Austin and I swore I would never go back to that place. I'm not sure why any student would move their from out of state.

Austin as a matter of opinion rates. Very cool arts scene. Obviously more than a college town being the capital. TX bbq, trek out to w El Paso for snow this time of yr. HUGE school. Neiman's too.

I would have had to reject it just like I rejected employment there.

I'm coastal California though and through; but cannot lie: Austin is a really nice place.

Because UT is there and it's one of the best public universities in the nation. Aside from that, they would get to be in one of the top volley programs in the D1 level. That and so many other reasons why Texas manages to recruit top players every year. However, it would be nice seeing YBG transfer. I see her in UCLA more than SC.

She could definitely be a first team all American at any other school. Her situation reminds me of Prieto Cerame at Penn State. She was smart to transfer after her freshman year.

Not sure where you get "hardly plays." Yazzie has earned and held a starting position the last two seasons, from a midway or earlier point in the season thru the title match.

However, it would be nice seeing YBG transfer. I see her in UCLA more than SC. Where would she fit in at UCLA? I would take Van Winden over YBG everyday of the week and Beuchler is a lock at OH and honestly is one of the best serve receive OHs in the nation and severely underrated in this aspect of her game. I don't know where all the speculation of Yaz transferring started. I just don't see it. Two national championship appearances. If she can be satisfied riding the pine for a year she would be a solid lock for the OPP position her senior season after Nwanebu graduates and exhausts her eligiblity. She's a gamer just Texas has a wealth of riches mostly due to an unexpected transfer and a highly touted OH getting a medical redshirt or YBG would already be seeing the floor. Texas also has huge backup clogging in the middle due to landing Abaji having Johnson and bringing in Butler but Ogbogu will be back due to red shirting due to academic reasons. Yaz isn't better in the middle than those listed except Abaji and she's not moving any of the pins listed above her Sun, White and Nwanebu all have her beat. If she can accept a utility roll and will most likely be the first off the bench if someone is struggling then I say she finishes her career as a Longhorn.

No Inky. Now no Dunning. No matter the replacement, the field just became more attractive.

So Texas now the favorite? Only if Elliott takes the Stanford job. And Elliott takes all that Stanford talent to a solid 2nd place finish
