In the Olympics semi finals, USA 50 spikes vs 48 Serbia, but the difference was Boskovic 18 spikes vs Lowe 13 spikes - Murphy 6 spikes Mihajlovic 17 spikes vs Larson 9 spikes - Robinson 6 - Hill 1 as you can see Boskovic outscored Lowe/Murphy together, and same Mihajlovic outscored Larson/Robinson/Hill together. Zhu was best spiker in % and best score, and Mihajlovic was 2nd best spiker in % and 4th best score. While Boskovic was 3rd best score. I think teams like China and Serbia are not higher in hitting % because they do makes a lot of mistakes, but they make it up by scoring a lot of points, teams like Brazil and USA don`t make a lot of mistakes, but sometimes can`t score much either, they play "safe" that`s why their % score can be higher. USA kill % was also higher than China and Serbia. China actually had the lowest kill % of the 4 teams in the medal rounds, but their combined E/Bs were also the lowest. Team - Eff - K% - E% - B% USA - .334 - 46% - 5% - 8% CHN - .308 - 43% - 6% - 6% NED - .293 - 45% - 7% - 8% SRB - .259 - 10% - 10% - 8%

Here`s the thing with passing the ball, Mihajlovic is far from being considered one of the best passers in the world, but look what she did in the Olympics and World Cup. And recall that this past season she played as OH in China, but the season prior the Olympics and WOrld Cup she played as OPP in Japan and Turkey. At the end of the day to win a game you must score, and it does not matter if you have the best reception line but you can`t kill a ball. And just look at the results of the Olympics, neither China or Serbia had the best reception, but they had the best and strongest hitters. Serbia is a much better out of system team than the U.S. They don't rely on getting the ball to the middles as much as we do, and they have better, and more (because of our lack of BR attack or highball to the pin) options OOS. What worked for them wouldn't necessarily carry over to us. The art of high ball attacking is lost in the US at every level other than men's.

Not a huge difference. 2 kills over the course of a match maybe. Of course, when you lose 15-13 in the fifth in a match where both teams score exactly the same (101) number of points, you'd love to have another 2 kills...

It's nice to see a couple of players from the state of California participating.

Is USAV going to find a way to stream this, even if on some primitive app like Periscope, or are they just going to let them play in some rando school gym and pretend like it "was a big success from the promotional side" again?

Video video video video... I do believe chanting helps. Please join in. Didn't help us from the sidelines get Gold in Rio so maybe temper your expectations.

It was nice when joetrinsey was on the staff because he would sometimes hook up the scout cam feed to YouTube for the non-local fans. Joe, can you reach out to the new technical coordinator and ask about this for us?

Search badgervb on Instagram (mobile only) and click on their profile picture as it should have a pink colored ring and it should say live.
