No karche is not racist he is Trumpish. As witnessed in his need to dominate his environment, be the center of attention, remove anyone who might question his coaching authority, and in the making of incredibly inane statements in his timeouts similar to the gibberish that Trump spouts during interviews. However he differs from Trump in the fact that given the equivalent of Millions of $'s, the 2012 Olympic silver medal team. He did not parlay that into gold but in the Biblical sense buried the talents and ended up only with bronze. He is also in danger of having to eat crow if enough of Hooker's support base raises the cry of Racism to a high enough social media clamor that the new head of USNT is forced to make Karche extend an invite just to quiet the waters. All the old arguments made against her are now fallacious fake news as she indeed received the honor of outstanding OP in the Brazilian League for 2017 and was loved and adored by both her fans and team mates and has resigned with her team, Minas. Karche is very vulnerable on this issue after his failure in Rio16. Sorry to bump this part of the thread... I take back what I said because your explanation is spot on lmao.

Wow, 20 combined aces, and Micha Hancock had 4 of them. Either tough serving or just bad reception. To those who watched, was she using her jump serve or did she switch to a float serve?

Ignoring the "racist" angle, Karch tried his little "kumbaya" experiment with the 2016 team. Now, he needs to figure out a way to get the best players on the court. THAT is his number one job..... managing personalities is one of the key roles of ANY leader. If he isn't up to the task, then we need a new coach.

It was nice when joetrinsey was on the staff because he would sometimes hook up the scout cam feed to YouTube for the non-local fans. Joe, can you reach out to the new technical coordinator and ask about this for us? Will do, although don't be too optimistic. I was usually scolded by for doing that. (edit: not by Karch, he was all for more opportunities for fans to watch. Had to do with streaming contracts and the USOC web platform and NGB agreements, etc.)

How does the National Team Training works? Right now there`s over 26 players, and then all the veterans will come at some point.
Unless veterans like Larson,Foluke for example decides to take the year off, it is not secret who the main roster will be for the Grand Prix and Champions Cup.
So when Karch decides which players will be in the main roster. All the rest gets released from the training camp? or they are allowed to stay and still practice with the main squad for the whole summer???

In most cases, the veterans decide to take the year after the Olympics off and the coaches use that time to evaluate the younger, up and coming players. It seems like that's the approach Karch is taking.
