Thanks for the post, I hadn't seen the schedule. While upsets are never out of the question, USC should take the title once again. I was a bit surprised to see the Witt sisters at the #2 spot though. AZ and UCLA 1's pairs could be a great match. Good luck to all in the desert heat.

On my TV schedule, PAC-12 network is basically running the BVB team tourney non-stop Thursday-Friday. There doesn't seem to be coverage on the pairs competition though (maybe they'll run it on delay or something later)

I saw that schedule, and was very happy. Pac 12 really avoided sand volleyball all season which was puzzling to me.

Certainly not the highest level of play, but the Oregon-Utah match was a very fun, competitive way to kick off the tournament. four matches went 3 sets. Utah took a 2-1 lead. Maggie Scott and Ronika Stone staved off a match (and dual) point in the 5s and picked up a win to even the match. Then Vander Weide and Van Sickle saved two more of their own in the 1s before Utah's Anae and Barton prevailed 18-16. Utes win 3-2.

I saw it and now hope all the matches are as competitive. Watching a 21-10, 21-12 match isn't enjoyable.

Announcers mentioned that the Witt twins will be playing indoor at Cal Baptist next year for their fifth year. Pretty weird.

Announcers mentioned that the Witt twins will be playing indoor at Cal Baptist next year for their fifth year. Pretty weird. I thought I heard that, wasn't sure if that is what they said. Wonder if they have family or some connection in Riverside since they committed to UC Riverside indoors before they signed with Arizona beach. But good for them taking advantage of a fifth year of volleyball

Stanford gets swept by ASU again, though three matches went to three sets.
Unless there is a huge upset, the Cardinal will meet Utah in the contender's bracket at 3pm. Hope they can beat the Utes again.

Hope they can beat the Utes again. Watched some of the #1 match on the tube. Plummer/Gray really wilted in that heat. They had a big lead in game 1 and a decent one in game 2 and just folded up their tents. I kept thinking about what a great team Plummer and that shorter girl from ASU would make.

I'd love to see Hentz playing defense behind Plummer's block. Her match only got a few rallies of airtime, but even in that short period she had some ridiculous digs.

Anyone notice how USC's #1 team get at least five timeouts a set on average due to the fact that Clae's handsets

I watched most of the matches via the mobile app on my phone during the day. I really liked the presentation announcers aside. I also like the look of the Arizona courts.
I wonder if they'll tweak the format next year since this seemed like a heck of a marathon. Washington/ASU is playing right now and it's after 8 PM over there.
