Phew, after Anderson/Carey gave up 6(?) match points they finally sealed the win!! Great job by ucla's 3-5 pairs. Honestly, I think that's the only way they could've beat SC, as UCLA's 2s are probably the weakest pair, and for the 1's, they're just not gonna beat Claes and Hughes. The 1s match was interesting, as in the first set UCLA decided to do the i formation, in order to try to make Megan (the righty) take all the serves while resting Nicole. However after that first set, they went back to normalc except Nicole ended up playing with her right arm the whole time, swinging with it too. Impressive just viewing from an athletic standpoint, but makes me worried what her injury is to her dominant left hand Tan and Yeomans are just inconsistent. They've defeated Bukovec/Wheeler before. Never know what you will get from them.

Impressive just viewing from an athletic standpoint, but makes me worried what her injury is to her dominant left hand I would have to think that UCLA thinks Nicole McNamara has one match in her left arm today. I can't see any other reason to not injury sub her out. I'd find it hard to believe that she is better playing right-handed than whoever UCLA's sub would be. Hopefully you're right about Nicole. But yeah, I'm not too sure about how the subs would work, because either 1) you throw in someone from the 6's pair (virtually) into the 1 spot, which is difficult even with UCLA's depth, or 2) you break up some other pair and cause a ripple effect of the team's

Hopefully J. Dennis (USC) can get healthy in time for the NCAAs, whatever is ailing her.

Weird setting. Temperature dropped, dark clouds moved in, wind gusting 20+ mph, fighter jets from local base loudly buzzing by.
Somebody must have given a good pep talk, USC laying a smack down on bruins. We'll see if UCLA can get their mojo back.
