Hope Hawai'i and Cal Poly do well and attract some big time recruits! We need to increase the RPI of the Big West!

So in order to marry UCSD the Big West had to take Cal St. Bakersfield.
Isn't polygamy illegal?

The four players from Hawaii that we expected to make the All-Big West team -- Maglio, Iosia, Granato, and Kahakai -- made it. I hope this lights a fire in Casey Castillo's butt, as she was the only consistent starter to not get awarded. Face it, she has been up and down. I'm a big fan, but she needs to improve her game. You know RAMS, Ljungqvist, and Baxter will be looking for hitters in the off-season and, if they find one, they're going to supplant Castillo.

Hope Hawai'i and Cal Poly do well and attract some big time recruits! We need to increase the RPI of the Big West! The conference RPI won't go up significantly unless the other 7 teams in the RPI get better and/or schedule more intelligently in the OOC. UCSB going 1-11 and LBSU going 3-10 in the OOC was just RPI devastation for the Big West.

There are plenty of PAC-12 and B1G teams that get good recruits and have much better teams than the Big West but never really advance far in the tournament.

And you're right, Irvine and Riverside did help by scoring wins in the OOC.

16 players on first team is lame... I agree - watered down 1st team basketball has a 6 player 1st team, 6 player 2nd team and I don't understand why they don't have a DPOY award, a DS type award, and/or a Server of the year award - the other sports do

UCI playing very well so far in the NIVC.
UCI swept Big Sky regular season champs Sac. St. in the 1st round.
UCI is playing at the WCC 3rd place team Pacific in round 2.
UCI goes up 2-0 (-21,-13) at Pacific.

Pacific makes a furious comeback to push it to 5 sets.
UCI outlasts Pacific 15-13 and advances into the NIVC quarter-finals.
A big congrats to all the UCI players and coaches.

No HM. And, I agree, with DPOY since they do have DPOW.
