Who will get All-region tomorrow from the Big West (and be considered eligible for an All-American)? Aside from the more obvious: Taylor Nelson Emily Maglio Torrey Van Winden Lindsey Ruddins Which conferences are in Hawai'i's "region" for All-American voting purposes?

Pacific North Big Sky Big West Mountain West PAC 12 WCC Pacific South Big West Mountain West PAC 12 WAC WCC I gather from last year's list (https://www.avca.org/awards/all-regional-all-america-awards/division-i-region.html) that Hawai'i and Cal Poly are in the same region (Pacific North) as Stanford, Oregon/Oregon State, Washington/Washington State, and Colorado State/Boise State. In which case I think the Pacific North All-Region team might look like this: Maglio T. Van Winden Nelson Plummer Lutz Hentz Gray Fitzmorris Mims DeHoog Marshall Agost Oleksak Nobley

I just saw that! I am a little surprised at Adlee Van Winden over maybe a couple of other players (Harlee, Aeryn, White, McKenna), but I can also see reasons to include her.

I hope this lights a fire in Norene Iosia and McKenna Granato's respective glutes! They shouldn't be content where they are. If Iosia wants to go down as one of the best setters in Wahine history, she has to do better. Right now, she's not even in the Top 10 in Wahine history -- and not even Top 10 since 2000.

And these two were the very ones to practice with the National Team last summer... and didn't Norene play international too? Hmmm... where's the growth?

And Texas Tech defeats Irvine 3-1 Hard to say what happened with the video feed coming from a fish eye lens camera mounted on a blimp 5 miles from the Court but heard UCI setter had a rough night?

That feed was too frustrating to watch. I went by live stats. Me too. Gave up trying to watch and just followed stats so not sure what went wrong for UCI. Heard from someone the setter had a tough night but the hitting numbers for both outsides and middles were awful so I’m guessing a combo of bad nights for a few of them. Too bad, thought they could go all the way.

And with that the Big West season comes to an end. Thanks Hawaii, Cal Poly and UC Irvine for representing the Big West really well in the post-season.
