Prince Harry of England recently disclosed he went to seek help at 28 years old to help deal with his mothers death. People are talking about it now. Metta World Peace thanked his Psychiatrist when he won the most recent Lakers championship.

How loosely is Garrick's survey defining mental illness if it got a 70% response? I could ask "Have you ever felt sad?" and boom, 100% mental illness.

That's hilarious. Actually, doing #6 probably covers half her list.

I genuinely can't remember ever reading a negative comment on here about Ebony, actually. Everything I can remember has been praise. Who is the USC player she mentions that committed suicide? I don't remember a Kiara at USC. How sad and awful. That's hilarious. Actually, doing #6 probably covers half her list.

...i'm not going to comment on this. Why? Are you one of those that what to sweep the issue under the rug. Depression and anxiety is a mental health issue amoung athletes. Ebony’s not afraid to speak out about the issue. Past volleyball and other sport athletes have taken a different avenue with their life and ended up hurting their families, friends, etc by ending theirs. Seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of.

Perhaps she's referring to negative comments about teammates, her coaches, or her team. I dunno. I'm not sure, about the suicide. I hadn't read her whole post, only her top 10 rules to survive senior year. If someone is suffering from depression, it's probably not a good place to come here for information. Too much negativity, and Volleytalk members can get very aggressive; attacks come easy and often. Which is actually quite unfortunate, because there are a lot of quality members posting good material. I only wish the admin and mods realized this and cared enough to change the culture of this board.

She was a middle. Played at USC before transferring to FSU. She died by suicide in 2017. It was discussed here when it happened. volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/70766/kiara-wright-memorial
