I agree with you there! I am happy for her and hope her team pulls out the win.
Where is Haak from?
She’s freaking phenomenal, and looks like she’s having a blast. This Scandicci team just looks like they’re having fun playing. Scandicci up 20-16 in the 2nd and lead the match 1-0. she is indeed phenomenal. Looks like she’s having the time of her life.

She's really gonna like playing with Adenizia, I think. They look like they're on the same page competitively.

And Scandicci looks very good.

Why doesn't Serie A use line judges? Is this typical for the European leagues?

The announcers seem to like Carlini a lot.. I think her last names makes her endearing to Italian fans. She and her teammates seem to be having a lot of fun in this match. Good chemistry.

The problem that Carlini has now is her connection with #13 middle blocker. Hence, the rotation when Carlini + Arrighetti + De La Cruz are at the front row is a weakness for Scanddicci.
But anyhow, great game, nice victory, congrats to Carlini and Scanddicci.

The announcers seem to like Carlini a lot.. No doubt about that, he only talked about her. BUT RaiSport is the channel doing the broadcast and we don`t get to hear their announcers as they are doing it in Italian. I think this announcer was hired by ESPN only and which channel hires their own announcer, and it is easy to tell he does not know a lot about volleyball, and he can`t always remember the players name, and he calls them like " the american setter" " the brazilian middle" "canadian spiker" and so on. He was the announcer for ESPN last season also.

Hancock scored 6 points in the first set, 5 in attack, more than her OPP. Poor Dixon she has only 2 points, and with Hancock setting she won`t be getting a lot of swings as Hancock will spike herself instead of setting in the middle.
But now in the 2nd set, her team is down 11-4 and her sets are awful.

I gotta believe Miami's staff were recruiting both Haak's and likely dreaming of the potential. But alas one went pro and for good reason. I do wonder if Adenizia has mentored Haak to a degree, which may help explain their seeming positive relationship on the court. Scandicci does look like it's a team having fun. A lot of good vibes there which is great to see. One reason I enjoy watching Serie A is to see teams where an American, a Brazilian, a Dominican, a Swede, and Italians can come together and gel into a good team. Great fun.

She was effective in college, but Carlini is eons ahead of Hancock with regard to pure setting.

They are not saying anything bad or blaming anything on her. Just you, because you apparently don't have enough outlets in which to be a jerk in your actual life, so you're gracing us. Thanks. Volleytalk Rage Syndrome strikes again! "H" worshippers see red whenever their goddess is criticized, however mildly.
