Julia Wohlert in the VB Mag Top 50 Class of 2018 Jade Demps and Devyn Robinson listed in the Top 50 Underclassmen. Also seeing a lot of freshmen (class of 2021) listed AKA the incoming class after our monster class of 2017 graduates. volleyballmag.com/fab-50-2018/ Saw Sheff watching the Prep VB freshman of the year. Ally Batenhorst (sp?)

I've been attempting to learn more about the 2021 class as the Badgers will be pretty deep in 2019 and 2020. Based on the roster talent on the top 5 teams in the final '17 AVCA poll alone (Nebraska, Florida, PSU, Stanford, and Texas), if I was a '21 was interested in playing time, Wisconsin would be a great destination as they will be graduating Hilley, Loberg, Haggerty, Rettke, Bell, and Shanahan in 2020; Nebraska and Stanford's pipelines are beyond enviable (assuming Kipp, Baird, Vicini head to Stanford). Players like Ally Batenhorst, Rylee Gray, and Mabrey Shaffmaster are most likely top priorities for the staff. Clearly I'm biased and would never fault a recruit for making the best college decision for themselves and their fams, but here's the projected 2021 hitters so far: OH: Demps, So. OH: Gregorski, Jr. OH: Whalen, Sr. MB: Robinson, So. MB: Hart, Sr. RS: Wohlert, RS-Jr. Grid Assumptions: Dodd takes the 12th schollie in '18, Anna MacDonald on 2/2 scholarship (putting in 2019 and 2010 for now), Gregorski is a walk-on, and Wohlert redshirts in 2018. You'd have to think some of the 2019s are on partials in addition to AMac2 as it would seem weird to have 6 open scholarships in 2021 unless we sign another 2020:

I really hope Wisconsin doesn't have 3-4 DSs on scholarship for the next two years. That's a big mistake.
Also seems problematic that 4 of the 5 incoming kids in 2019 are DSs. That makes 9 on the roster next season. Not even Penn State (infamous for their corps of littles) carries that many.

Do you know if they're even allowed to travel with 19 kids on the roster?

Whose left for the 2020 scholarship, presuming it's there? I have been keeping track. Is there a thread on those kids?

Wonder if there’s a chance Anna MacDonald could end up getting a 4 year deal... she was VERY impressive this weekend

I'd be surprised if that last scholarship doesn't remain open this year for an impact transfer. Wouldn't mind some more depth at OH.

Batenhorst is going to be special as long as she stays healthy. As a 6'4" Frosh she has great coordination for her size. That would be a huge "snag" for Wisconsin! She is from Katy which is a suburb just west of Houston and around an hour from A&M, and 2 1/2 from UT. (The 2021 class is the year I expect Bird from A&M to start landing some of the top 5 players from Texas and put a dent into Elliott's dominance in the state)

Wasn't there some thought that Clark was NOT on scholarship?
