Sorry this is a little off topic but....I was just looking at CU's recruits and it looks like we have another Taylor Simpson coming in 2021! Kinda threw me for a loop for a second.

Apparently she's a setter/opp so more of a Gabby than a Taylor really.

Someone asked, but it wasn’t answered. D Has she played club VBall? PrepVB did not list a club team for her when she was named a Top 50 Junior

Let's continue to discuss Lauren Ware even more since one poster is getting all bent out of shape about it.
She was the North Dakota Gatorade POY in BOTH volleyball and basketball as a junior. And, also for hoops as a sophomore. Regardless of how her collegiate career unfolds, good for her that she has so many options. I didn’t get bent out of shape oof. I was mainly talking about you slobbering all over yourself over this player. LMAO

Given that almost all the top 2020 players are committed, I think Minnesota's recruiting ranking is safe. It's almost 100% certain it'll be top 3, and has a higher likelihood of being #1 or #2. They may be the favorite, but I think far from settled: 1) Just looking at the top 3 recruits per team - there isn't a Lot of difference among at least 6 programs. 2) Adding a couple 'extra' recruits could push any number of these programs to the top. At this point, many have just 3 - while Minnesota has a 4th which will help. 3) There is always the possibility of a Junior enrolling early that can change the dynamic. This had a huge impact for BYU this year. 4) Someone could decommit their verbal - we have already had a couple players that may be in the top 10 make a switch in the past 6 months. So I did not know that happened at BYU, but I wouldn’t be totally shocked if the setter commit started early. She is already 18!

What happened to Nebraska? UCLA getting agressive I was just thinking that! If UCLA gets Ndaiye, Luper, and Ware over the course of two months, the new AC on recruiting is earning their paycheck

Lauren Ware announces top 5. UCLA, Texas, Minnesota, Arizona, and Tennessee Was it a tweet or Instagram?
Since she already used 3 official visits to Nebraska, Texas, and Oregon, she only has 2 remaining; so, two of her 5 finalists won't be getting official visits.
Looks like an 80% chance she heads to a school far away from her North Dakota home . . .

What happened to Nebraska? UCLA getting agressive Amy Williams didn't want her to split time since the seasons overlap. Cook was agnostic since she would have only provided depth. Lauren wants to give both sports a shot. I assume the other schools' hoops coaches are okay with her missing preseason training and some non-con games. I think it'll be moot in the end, she'll be a fulltime basketball player by her sophomore season assuming she becomes a starter at her final destination. Wish her the best. Very good athlete.

Ware's original 10 finalists were: Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Iowa, LSU, Minnesota, Nebraska, NC State, Oregon and Texas.
So, Arizona, Texas, and Minnesota still on her list. UCLA and Tennessee are newcomers. Tennessee has a new hoops coach. Coach Cori Close at UCLA is a very good recruiter on the hoops side.

I was just thinking that! If UCLA gets Ndaiye, Luper, and Ware over the course of two months, the new AC on recruiting is earning their paycheck If she chooses UCLA I predict she will play as much for Sealy as Feraimo did this year and as much as Savage played for the UCLA basketball team this year. UCLA could have used Faraimo’s arm.
