Yep. If only I would take the time. Not going to happen, however. Too busy with other things to really care what Calvin Booth is doing these days. Why is Carter still in Minnesota? Never mind. I'm sure it's in the article. It annoys me that you responded this way. And? Let me fix my Don't Give a Bleep list: *What Calvin Booth is doing these days *How villageidiot feels about my posts

In the 8th grade, I was following my Hawaii men's basketball team suffer through its worst season in program history: 1-26 record! The only game they won was the only game I missed. It was a miserable season. I wasn't thinking about college at all. I was mostly learning how to navigate around girls, adjusting to my growth spurt and the awkwardness that came with it (like tripping over my own feet), and wondering if I should be an auto mechanic when I grew up (because I saw a job notice on the bulletin board that announced $1,000/month pay for auto mechanics. I thought, "I'm going to be rich!").

And now the barrage of early commit comments. Show me the barrage and I'll eat my shoe. I stand by the numbers that it will be a very few, exceptional circumstances that 8th graders or younger will committ. 6'7" and playing 15's. I would list those as exceptional circumstances. Add to that a parent who spent 10 years as a professional athlete, who continues to work in professional athletics, and probably generally has a better grasp of and ability to guide the decision-making process than do most parents.

Looks like Hugh is the new sheriff in town when it comes to recruiting preteens.

Her standing reach is 8'8", block touch is 9'10" and approach jump of 10'1". Not much of a vertical (16") but at that age I would be careful. Due to her size at that age, her growth plates are probably not that stable. A lot of jumps and pounding on the knees would not be healthy or condusive to long term athletics without injury. I would bring her along slowly, limit her reps, work on strength training. She will be one to keep an eye out for.

Saw her play a little bit this morning at the NLQ. She’s legit. Agree... so much potential.
