McKenna Miller and the Cougars should be poised to have another great season this year.

Will they win another Conference Title?

I would say they are poised for another great run. The only player of any real significance not coming back from last year is Cosy Burnett. They continue to be a little thin at middle behind Kennedy Redding, but perhaps one of the other young middles steps up. They also lost Robbins-Hardy, but she has been backing Haddock up for the last couple years. All in all, I like their chances. I can't wait to see them play this fall.

Heather Gneiting is the real deal at middle. BYU will be fine there. They get much stronger at RS as well. Roni's senior year, so she will be motivated. They will be able to attack from anywhere, making it harder for defenses.
No real weakness that I can see. A team that will be better than last year.

Opposite is the only place where I see a question mark with the cougars. Ballard is back, but she’s going to be challenged by freshman Robinson and seniors Stetler and Lacey Haddock. They’ll have a great year with an early matchup with Stanford to gauge just how far they could possibly go.

For sure they are going to be a good team. I think they're a lock on the WCC title, hard to see anyone toppling them there. Probably going to roll over Utah in the Deseret Challenge. It's just hard to know how far they go...can they make another final four run??

Don't see Robinson challenging for the rightside, as she's a little undersized and could compromise the block. She could challenge or play backrow for Miller though. Hamson will challenge for the rightside with Ballerd. BYU will be really good this year. Very excited about Gneiting, which I think will be an upgrade, and hoping Ballerd is healthy and back to form.

Oh no, now this thread will be high-jacked by people wanting to talk about Nebraska, Stanford and PSU!

Has anyone projected BYU's RPI this year? I can honestly see them only losing 1-2 matches during the regular season. Depending on RPI, they're a non-P5 team that could throw a wrench into the tournament seeding committee's plans.

I predict a tough year for the non-BYU/USD parts of the WCC, and it's never kind to them to being with. They will probably have a challenging RPI year given how damn good they are.

They play Duke twice, Stanford, Wichita State, Southern Cal, Marquette and Utah pre-conference. I see three or four losses just there and maybe one to USD later on since they play a home and home.

Stanford will probably be a loss. USC is a toss up. Other than that, I don’t see them falling to the other teams you mentioned
