You Hawaii fans are lucky to get him! He’s a “joe type” setter... not the physical type, but good location, defense, high IQ, good leadership. Big volleyball family in MB. Dad played on the tour. jack’s a good beach player too. Plays MB Surf 18s this year. Old for his class so he’ll play 18s twice. You’ll like him. Walmer is Joe Worsley + 3 inches and maybe still growing? A great get, it is always nice to get one of those volleyball gym rats because they will help anywhere. Hawaii is also after some nice targets in 2020 like Wedbush and Sani but lost out on Godbold.

Just based on what I've seen on various platforms this seems to be who is on the team for the upcoming season MB: Solbrig (SR), Gasman (RJR), August (RJR), Larson (RSO), Liva (RSO), Meyer (RFR), Rosenfeld (RFR), Wong (FR), Hogland (FR) OH/OPP: Van Tilburg (SR), Rosenmeier (SR), Anastassiades (RJR), Cowell (RJR), Parapunov (JR), Johnson (FR), Todd (FR), Humler (FR) S: J. Worlsey (SR), Ashment (SR), Van Eekeren (RSO), Sheward (FR), Thelle (FR) L: G. Worsley (SO), Yung (RFR) Don’t think Meyer is on the team anymore, he had potential, too bad. I could see Aishment and Liva possibly not making the team. Todd, Sheward, Hogland, Johnson and Wong are all probably redshirting. Humler is 6’8 . Thelle is impressive.

Great lineup for 2019 season, hope we can bring in some high performing 6'8"+ middles next season before we lose Gasman and August to graduation. Rosenfeld and Wong are walk-ons and Hogland is a bit short for div 1 middle at 6'5. Too bad he doesn't have his brother's 6'9" frame to go with his athleticism. Like they say, you can't teach height.

Matt August recent Instagram story is giving me a bad feeling, an explanation will be posted later tonight, but I think he’s Aloha oe Hawaii. Yeah..noticed that he took out reference to being a Warrior. He had "Hawaii Volleyball "21" on his page recently. That is too bad if he chooses to leave. I have seen him at the women's games and he seems to be having a good time. I saw him hanging out mostly with Cole Hogland and the other newcomers. Maybe the dude misses his girlfriend too much that volleyball is not that important to him. Hopefully, he stick it out and make it work but if he is homesick for his GF and family and his mind is not into playing volleyball, then maybe going back home is the best thing for him.

Yeah just messaged him awhile ago, saying good luck on your future, he responded that he appreciates it and thanked me for the support, yeah could be what you mentioned, damn! really was looking forward to seeing him play for the Warriors.

Very unfortunate situation with August but I think the addition of Danny Wong does take the sting out of Matt leaving. We lose some experienced depth with August leaving and probably with Larson and Liva no longer on the team so it looks like Rosenfeld may be counted on to provide depth or Wade is going to have to give the freshmen a longer look. Is there a possibility of getting a midyear transfer? Maybe move Alakai Todd to MB to see if he is a fit there?
Wade moved Taylor Averill from S/OPP to MB and is now an Olympian so maybe Todd would be ok with that move.

Hello and goodbye Matt August, we never got to know you. With Meyer, Larson, Liva and August not returning or even showing up,this leaves us very thin at MH yet again. Charlie Wade really needs to make MH a recruiting priority for next season. If Meyer had stayed, he would have seen court time this year. Are we sure he's not returning?

Well Matt August has made it official: He's turning pro, signed with SGN Group Agency and agent Sergio Turzo. Good luck kid.

Is that for beach or indoor? It is kind of unusual for someone with no D1 level experience to turn pro, no? It was not like August was so sought after his stint at IVC that he is a can’t miss prospect. Maybe he doesn’t enjoy going to school and think this is the better option.
Wish him good luck.

Not to bash on anyone but you can't rely on Rosenfeld for depth, he was decent at best on his Ultimate 18-2's team. I'm still confused what Wade saw in him. And unless Alakai spends the next couple months strictly on footwork and quickness there is literally a zero percent chance that he could ever be a D1 middle, frankly his current athletic state makes me question if he can ever be a contributing D1 player. Wade is going to have quite the struggle...

Luke Owens' clock would end in 2019. Despite, by a simple Facebook search, being out at the Kaneohe marines, entered Jan. 2015.

I never thought Maulia LaBarre was going to amount to anything being so skinny and awkward looking but he was a starter later in his career.
