Sydney been working on her setter attacks a la Carlini? A couple new sneaky moves it looks like.
Dixon also looks just fine running the white team. Very capable hands I think if anything were to happen to Hilley.

The current Cardinal squad looks like the starters IMO.
I think Dodge looks great. Libero is a tossup. Dodge sets better.

Gonna be hard for duello to have the season she wants this year. Loberg better at outside, right side looking competitive between duello and William's, I think hart goes middle.

Really? Williams seems pretty low profile this match.
But then again, she is good at quietly getting kills.

I agree, Hart and Loberg look polished and ready to go. Duello looks fine, just nothing that stands out yet. Same with Williams -- a quiet but steady day after two sets.

Set 3
Cardinal Hilley / Duello Hart / Shanahan Haggerty / Loberg Dodge
White Dixon / Wohlert Rettke / Williams PP9 (Dodd) / PP5 (Bell) Clark - But Wohlert isn’t playing 6, she’s subbing with one of the PPs and it’s a little weird.

Kind of hard to distinguish Hart from Rettke in the middle. Longer hair. Duello can be confusing too.
From afar. Not up close.

So White beat Cardinal 2 of 3, though not by a lot. Which doesn’t surprise me given that White had all the passing and defense.
I’m optimistic this year. I don’t envy Sheff the lineup decisions he has to make.

So what's the dope on Haggerty? Hints of some good things on here, but what was her overall level like?
Sounds like Loberg and Hart and doing the business anyway.

So what's the dope on Haggerty? Hints of some good things on here, but what was her overall level like? Her play looked back to pre-injury level. Serving, blocking, hitting (power and shot selection). Passing was improved from pre-injury. Solid defense. She wasn’t getting set as often, but we have other options now. In 2016 it was, to a large extent, the Molly Show, especially when she was in the front row. This year we have other players we can lean on for offensive production, so she doesn’t have to carry the load. No question to me she starts on the outside.

So solid is Rettke Hilley Haggerty. Then it's all up in the air the who and the where.

I will write more later, but I agree that Haggerty looked to be in pre-injury form. In another really encouraging sign, Loberg held up pretty well as a primary passer in addition to doing a lot offensively.

I wasn't sure I truly believed she'd get back. And, what a boon for them. I read through this thread and it sounds like the ones who really impressed today were Hart and Loberg. Sure seems to be setting up to have an embarrassment of riches among the hitters. And possibly more than 1 very capable player not seeing the playing time they would expect.
