Awesome.....Riley made POY in volleyball and she is a 2 sports athlete. Imagine how good a player she will be when she becomes a full time volleyball player.
Looking forward to Riley making an impact next season.

All three play VB and BB. The one on the left is going to be OSU's PG for the next four years. Four straight conference titles in both sports. Sheldon is 5’10” according to ESPN. I’m glad to see that Wagoner is about 2 inches taller. This adds to credibility to her 6’ stat that some people have been questioning. She adds size and skills to Hawaii!

Need to not panic about a Setter or other needs yet. There are several players in D2 and JUCO as well who are more than capable of playing in D1 that could also be transfers. Wait and see.
Congrats to Riley!

I'm counting only 9 scholarship players on next season's Wahine volleyball team including Hellvig, so that leaves us currently with 3 vacant scholarships. I'd prefer to see them remain vacant then try to fill them with sub-par players that have no chance of seeing much PT. We need quality depth

Does this look right?
Scholarship players: Norene Iosia, S Kirsten Sibley, OH Jolie Rasmussen, OH Riley Wagoner, OH Hanna Hellvig, OH Braelyn Akana, OH Tiffany Westerberg, MH Amber Igiede, MH Skyler Williams, MH Kyra Hanawahine, DS/L
Non-scholarship players:* Kamalei Krug, MH McKenna Ross, OH Rika Okino, DS/L Janelle Gong, DS/L
* Some non-scholarship players may be supported by academic scholarships.

We need quality depth Do you know whether or not Hanawahine is on scholarship, or is she a walk-on? The only thing that is making me think she is a scholarship player is because of the press release, as I don't think that Akiu or Liva had a press release when they were walking on. That would leave us with two scholarships left, and I would be totally fine with one of those scholarships going to Lines if she chooses to come, or if she doesn't come, then the spot could be left vacant (cause I think the team will be fine either way). However, we would need a back-up setter, so we would have no scholarships available left...

No outlet has officially confirmed Hanawahine is on scholarship.

If Robyn did not initially give Tita Akiu(who was second team All Big 12 her sophomore year) a scholarship, I don’t think she would award one to a player who have yet to prove herself. My guess is Kyra is a walkon. She could earn one if she proves herself. Right now, a scholarship is better used for a setter and not a DS/libero.
Kyra, being Hawaiian, can probably get grants and scholarship money elsewhere.

Yeah, this is what I was hoping because Kyra should also qualify for in-state tuition, and the scholarship should definitely used for a back-up setter.

Maybe now that Castaneda is officially gone, Lines from Pacific will be a Wahine.

Maybe now that Castaneda is officially gone, Lines from Pacific will be a Wahine. I'm hoping that's the plan! It seems right now that Lines is choosing between Hawaii, Auburn, and one other school, so I'm hoping she comes aboard, as she will definitely bring in experience at the pins!

I looked at her stats from Pacific and nothing that pops...but, looking through sime individual matches and she seems like a player who has the potential to get kills. I believe she had 25 kills against a win over Pepperdine, so she is someone who can,get kills. No offense to her, but Castillo would not be able to get that amount of kills, even if she was set 100 times.
