Let me go back and fix my exclamation points so as not to create too much emphasis for you and you can go back and fix all your .... ‘s. We’re on a flipping volleyball forum and you think you’re all that with your 5 stars. Well your opinion is no better than anyone else’s. My opinions are just that mine, and yours are yours. “Over the top” to state facts. 35% of the team are DS’s, Sealy can barely put a competitive 6x6 on the court with only 17 players (now 16 and 38% DS’s). Doesn’t sound like the tactical strategy of a competent coach, IMO. We’ll see how it all washes out. I’m hoping they replace Sealy and Brad and start fresh with an entirely new culture. I’m pretty sure a ton of elite programs have 5+ DS’s. And every team brings in men to scrimmage. I don’t think this roster is too unbalanced. It’s not like they have one setter or anything.

As an aside, watched Kylie Miller setting a quick Minnesota offense tonight.
If Sealey could have creating an atmosphere the players liked, or even if he were likable, we wouldn't have to watch her setting a top 10 team that is not in Westwood. Same for Streloh. And I was wondering... would Van Winden have stayed if she really loved playing for Sealey? She would have had 2 Natty's in Beach by now.

I said this in another thread, but it bears repeating here. UCLA was by far the worst team in the grouping of four teams (Baylor, Creighton, Nebraska & UCLA) playing in Lincoln last weekend. That would have been unthinkable not that long ago. I think this doesn't take into account how much the rest of the nation is catching up to the elite storied programs. Creighton would have been the expected winner every year of the last 3 years. Baylor this year is just playing great ball, just as they did at the end of last year. You can't ride on your laurels in today's game, and some programs are getting woke up to that reality...ask Penn State and Washington. Washington’s coach retired and in regards to Penn State, athletes are realizing you don’t need to go play for the a$$hole tough guy coach any longer to succeed. You can win and have fun while playing college sports without constant criticism from your coach

Maybe I'm confused, but I seem to recall that when Washington and Creighton played last year -- at Creighton -- it was Washington that won. They are going to play again in about 10 days (also at Creighton). Let's see what happens.

If the recruit has already signed they can leave, but if they want to still go, the new coach has no say really

Transferring is a tough decision, and I'm happy it worked out for Miller.

Maybe they go to UCLA in spite of him True. That is still the case with the softball (head) coach. Assistants are awesome. UCLA softball almost gets whoever they want, or a high enough % to have one of the top 5 recruiting classes every year. There is no reason Volleyball cannot do the same, if the coach is well regarded. And maybe there are some we would have welcomed who did NOT commit to UCLA precisely because of him. I haven't read of a single feeder club that actually thinks he is a good coach. THAT is the kiss of death.

Running a modified 6-2 against Georgia: Harrer sets in the back row and then playa OPP in the front row (Chang sets). Mosser only playing 3 rotations at OPP while Simo and May play 6-rotations.

what's the outlook on Thompson? Nothing has been mentioned in any official write-up but that looked like a nasty sprain so I expect she won't be back until maybe after Hawaii but hopefully sooner.
