$450 does seem excessive when you can spend a fraction of that on BTN Plus and watch them at home. Hell, for $120 you can get a conference-wide pass for the entire year and watch as many matches as you can tolerate. Plus other sports if that's your thing. $450 is for endline premium seats. Cheap, if you ask me. $150 for crappy bench seats -- space too small, grade too shallow -- isn't worth it for me. I'd rather spend the money on watching lots of volleyball, than one team, if I can't really even see the match. I love Gopher volleyball. Don't get me wrong. But the venue and price ... I don't know. I may be done.

Season Ticket renewals are available on www.mygophersports.com. The chairback seat donation doubled in price to 100 dollars/seat. 4/15/19 deadline. I see the prices and the dates but I don't see a renewal link to renew them, what am I missing? and the bench seats went up $25 per seat as well I didn't see anything useful until I logged into my account. Then I had one pending item/invoice.

I may be done. Keep in mind that the $450 is the per-seat "donation" amount. The tickets then cost some additional amount (I -think- that amount is roughly in line with chairback ticket prices). There is also an additional (non-optional) fee for the pre-match food. I used to think it was expensive, but then had to buy my own food at the concession stand during the tourney... not so bad a price, now that I have a comparison. There is also an additional cost (I think this can be dropped) for parking. We have one set of parking passes for the three seats, and I'm pretty sure they just take the avg event price, so the parking is a fair deal (and gets you a spot even if MBB is playing next door).

Do you think there are there any premium seats available? I'm guessing no one's giving theirs up. I have my doubts, but calling the ticket office and getting on a waiting list is probably the route to take. I remember hearing that they had a waiting list a couple years back... don't know whether they clear it each season, or if it's like Packer tickets, where you get your newborn on the waiting list he he might get tickets when he turns 20. At some point, you'd think they'd open up... Its not like you can pass them down in your will (hmmm, or maybe you can. Gotta check with my estate lawyer.) I believe season tickets can be transferred to immediate family members. Maybe they can just let people sit on the bench, as most teams don't use most of those chairs anyway. Also, I think the Packers season ticket wait time is closer to 30 years, but maybe that will go down after this season.

I think they have reached a point where the seats do not justify the price. I could see $450 for a premium seat. I'm not sure I can pony up for a seat with as bad of a view as my bench seat. If I *knew* I could change my seat to a better location, maybe. But they didn't even offer last year. No, still a great value for the money in terms of MN sporting events. But quite a jump for the donation this year, which likely won't be tax deductible for many any longer. They had better really try to schedule some decent teams for the Diet Coke for that much coin per seat. So, you said you were interested in moving seats and did not get any ability to do so?

Correct. I wanted/want to move from south side bench seats to upper deck. They never got back to me.
It's a great value if you can see the court. I can't see the court if the people in front of me aren't kids. Good luck for MY kids seeing the court.
The Pav sucks. For spectators.

Hmm, have never experienced that poor of a seat in the Pav, other than years ago, buying a walk up ticket for Penn State and being up by the vents on the north side. Had a similar seat at Williams back in the day too. The benches for the Regional were almost better than my season tickets, but I was lucky to have an aisle in front of me and next to one of the entry ports, but had no issues in past years over there either. I know my 5'0" former seatmate was at times obstructed by taller people and on match point had to stand on the chair or move to the aisle.

The problem is that the first 20 rows or so are not steep at all. It gets better if you go further up, but you are basically just one step up from the people in front of you. It's not enough.

Does Minnesota get to play Stanford and Oregon again in the Pac/B1G tournament next fall?

Does Minnesota get to play Stanford and Oregon again in the Pac/B1G tournament next fall? I heard it was a four year commitment so each school would host but not sure who will be hosting in 2019.

I seem to recall seeing a video of what the renovations to the pav would look like but I can't find anything now.

Season ticket holders giving input on the quality of the experience is a little tacky.
It's like when rich white politicians have no idea what it's like to have any other experience, and so they take their own experience as gospel, and screw the rest of everyone else over.
The Pav is HIDEOUS as a venue unless you're rich now, apparently.
The last time I sat on the bench seats at the Pav was 4 years ago; I'm pretty sure my bony butt is STILL sore from it.
Sitting on a concrete slab for three hours with no ability to lean forward or backward is not fun, no matter if it's free or $450.
But oh, let's hear again how your $1000 seats (that I wouldn't have the option to get even if I COULD afford them, it sounds like) are just fine so you see no need to change?

You lost me for a while there. You don't mean season ticket holders, right? You mean premium seats, correct?
I don't begrudge anyone those seats. If they were available, I'd be tempted. I think the cost is justified by the better experience (and I'm surprised it isn't higher).
But there are several levels to the viewing experience at the Pav. For me, they go from best to worst in this order:
1--Premium seats (although some of those can be obstructed) 2--Endline bleacher seats (given free to students), varying quality 3--Center-ish chairback, but not too low 4--Center-ish bench, but not too low 5--Upper deck, lower rows, center-ish 6--All other chairback (of varying quality) 7--Unobstructed bench seats (of varying quality) 8--Upperdeck unobstructed 9--Bench seats under upperdeck, unobstructed 10--Obstructed 11--Bench seats behind the band, especially the tubas

If I had my preference, I'd sit where the cameras are, on the east endline. Good luck getting up there.
