Just watch: So impressive was the coaching of Jen Tamas in her "Technique Tuesday" video, a devious thought crossed my mind. Could Jen be to husband, head coach Chris Tamas, as Glenn Close was to her writer husband in last year's movie, "The Wife"? Just a passing thought. Coach Chris Tamas is too excellent of a coach in his own right, unlike the writer husband in "The Wife".

Copied from the Wisconsin thread re-hybrid 5-1/6-2. I'm a 5-1 fan, however want 2 highly regarded setters on the court. gaining experience, bettering the program each year on the roster, and to graduate from U of I. "Kelly Sheffield had a similar problem his first year at WI; incoming hotshot freshman Lauren Carlini vs junior Courtney Thomas. Courtney was too valuable to bench, but Lauren was too good to not get the primary setter spot. His eventual solution was to play Courtney as RSS, and have her as the go-to option for second contact if Lauren had first contact. This worked well; with a transfer libero/DS Taylor Morey and another hotshot Libero freshman in AnneMarie Hickey, that 2013 WI team had so much ball control on the floor that they went all the way to national runner-up. You could call this the 5.5/1.5 setting solution, halfway between a 5-1 and a 6-2." Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/77361/big-2019?page=7#ixzz5oKYGtMJnThere's not many Courtney Thomas caliber players walking around. She went from being a setter to hitting .339 as an opposite.

Poulter is going to be a star on the international circuit. In time, her size, athleticism, and blocking are going to have a major impact on both our USWNT and on her pro team. I believe she's going to become one of the highest paid pros within a few years.

Sorry, my link didn’t work. Supposed to be a short video of Mica Allison talking about choosing Illinois. Maybe someone with better linking skills can post it.

Wow, Iowa has placed Shymansky on administrative leave for violating NCAA rules. Named Vicki Brown as interim coach.
Isn't he supposed to coach the B10 team trip to Europe next month?

It would be nice if Vicki got a chance to take over but I expect that she doesn't have the experience yet.
