Coach Brown is a class act! Represents both Illinois and Iowa well. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we’re very grateful to have her in Iowa City!

When does the NCAA publish their RPI? RPI futures puts Iowa on a fringe and it’s making me nervous lol.
But more seriously, the win over WSU seems to have diminished. While originally the Iowa win made WSU look grossly overrated, they’ve now stepped up and are causing chaos in the PAC (or at least Washington).
The Hawks will need some quality wins. Their SOS is still pretty mean, so that’s a double edged sword. That said, I do think Iowa can play the spoiler this year... if everyone steps up. The lack of senior leadership is an intangible they’ll have to work through.
Wednesday will show how much fight the Hawks have. I’m also still a bit disappointed they didn’t at least take a set off the Illini, mostly because they didn’t take advantages where they should’ve. Woulda coulda shoulda strikes again!

To beat one of the teams this week, would be a huge upset and cause a lot of excitement around Iowa City. I was impressed on Saturday the Hawks fought tough, never rolled over, in one of the best road environments and seemed to be developing good back row chemistry. When does the NCAA publish their RPI? If we can steal a match this week that would definitely be a step in the right direction! I think so too. Beating Wisconsin last season generated a lot of excitement that ultimately fizzled out pretty quickly. I’m hoping Coach Brown has a much steadier, calmer squad prepared that is ready to just take it one match at a time. We need 9 more... one at a time.

I think if the Hawks manage to go at least 10-10 during the B1G season, RPI will take care of itself. If the Hawks don't go at least 10-10, RPI won't matter one iota.

Has Orr ever gotten Setter honors? She deserves them. If she puts up another big match she should get it!
And Hughes had me really scared for MN! Must be a career high!

Nope, Orr never received setter honors. She was a B1G co-Freshman of the Week once. It was a career high for Hughes. Her previous high was 18 as a freshman at ASU.

Buzz are bangers but relatively inexperienced. They just got to keep swinging and keep figuring it out. Opposing blockers are going to key in on them, learn their tendencies, etc. and they just got to stay aggressive and work through it. They’ll get there! It’s a trying process

I do like an undersized pin that just blasts it...
