Carlini named Player of Pool C. They must have only been watching when she set the middle that one time. Lucky.

I see Carlini, Zhu, Boskovic, Egonu & Lorenne were all players of their pool. Can't find who was selected from Russia. Safe to assume it was Goncharova?

Cuttino > Thompson but I'm biased. (This is assuming Karch requires one lefty.) This is hilarious. I just watched Cuttino play like garbage against Argentina in the Pan Am Games and got benched after the USA went down 0-2. Rivers came in and dominated getting them back to 2-2 before they lost the 5th. Cuttino is easily at the bottom of the opposite depth chart. Next.

You're the same poster who watched Thompson play complete trash in multiple VNL games, get subbed out for Drews, and continued to shout she was amazing and should be the starter... You'll have a new favorite same time next year. Cuttino also did not play the entire two sets - didn't even start the second - but continue with your narrative.

Not even close to those ahead of her.

Cuttino isn’t even playing the same game as Thompson, though. One is miles and miles ahead of the other.

I'm sorry......I believe she got benched once maybe twice the ENTIRE tournament. She came in for Drews on many more occasions. She is the clear front runner. I'll admit my tact was lacking there with that last statement......my bad. Just with all of the hype concerning Plummer and Cuttino I guess I just expected more. In my opinion both of them have a LONG way to go to even be in the running for a spot on the A team. It is what it is. I might be one of the only people on here who really doesn't care who is on the floor as long as the team does well. Right now this season the A team is 19 and 3 out of 22 matches. Thats pretty great considering both rosters have been flooded with young players. It think its a little too late for the team to be a favorite going into 2020 but I do think the team is only going to get better. Will they peak at the right time? They did in 2014 and won the World Championships. Time will tell if they have what it takes.
