Apparently 2017 doesn't carry over. AVP is showing Toppel with 110 points based upon a 33rd with Burik in Huntington last year. In 2017, he totaled 765 points. Eric is shown as having 504 points. Eric advised me that because Toppel was injured in 2018, some portion of 2017 points will carry over (maybe the first 2017 tournament points get thrown out and are replaced by the one 2018 tournament points he got so he gets credit for a full year). With the expanded Huntington draw and depending upon which main draw teams play internationally, Eric thinks there is a good chance he and Toppel may get seeded into the main draw. Right now, he is only getting his 110 points from Huntington last year (2018). If they give him points back from 2017, it would be from these. I'm sure he'd love to get at least back to Hermosa. Manhattan Beach (2017-08-17) (8/20/2017) 120.00 AVP - Hermosa Beach (2017-07-20) (7/23/2017) 225.00 AVP - San Francisco (2017-07-06) (7/6/2017) 150.00

Which would explain his picking Toppel, points play. And he's a 6'9 blocker who can set!! Toppel might have the worst hands in the history of the game but in today's game he still gets to use them. Yuck.
